The ice around the raft had all turned into crushed ice. It seemed they really hadn't stopped causing trouble over the past two days.
She went into the sea. Taking it step by step, her movements seemed slow, but the distance she covered with each stride was much greater than before.
Taking a leisurely stroll underwater, she found it quite peaceful down there. Perhaps a batch of sea creatures had just been cleared out. There weren't even any small fish or shrimp. She could still see Bramble's white roots wandering around the raft.
It looked like they were cooperating with perfect unspoken understanding.
Walking further out, she occasionally encountered a medium-sized fish or two, but none of the massive ones she had seen during yesterday's chaotic melee. Recalling the taste of the Sea Beef, Faye hoped for the first time that she could run into a couple more of those creatures.
