Chapter 14 - Chapter 14: Wooden House Upgrade, Strange Warehouse

"System, use the Basic Wood House Upgrade Voucher."

Still inside the Wooden House, Faye Yardley felt it expanding, with distinct areas visibly forming before her eyes.

A moment later, the system announced the upgrade was complete.

Faye Yardley discovered that her Wooden House had become a 30-square-meter residence with one bedroom, one living room, and one bathroom.

She opened the 3D model. The Wooden House had a 5x6 layout and was now situated right in the center of the raft.

There was no need to move it; it was just right as it was.

The 2.5-meter-wide canopy was flush with one end of the raft. Combined with the 5-meter width of the Wooden House, this left exactly 2.5 meters of space on the other side.

The Wooden House was 6 meters long, leaving 2 meters of space at both the front and back of the raft.

The only problem was that the wooden fence was no longer long enough to enclose the entire raft.

She had originally crafted 15 meters of wooden fence, but now the perimeter required a total of 40 meters. Each meter of fence cost 2 wood to make.

'I have to build it. I won't feel safe otherwise.'

Therefore, the 25-meter gap would require 50 wood.

She could install the wooden fences she crafted at the workbench directly onto the raft model via the light screen.

With the exterior sorted out, Faye Yardley started designing the interior layout.

For the one-bedroom, one-living-room, one-bathroom layout, she allocated 10 square meters to the bedroom and 5 square meters to the bathroom, leaving the rest for the living room.

The fireplace's position hadn't changed; it was still on the left side of the entrance. She moved the workbench to the spot between the fireplace and the bedroom wall.

The bedroom was at the very back. Right now, there was nothing inside except for a bed.

She placed the bathroom opposite the workbench.

Faye Yardley slapped her forehead. She remembered she had also redeemed two Space Stones and one Warehouse Blueprint.

The prerequisite for building a warehouse was having a residence, and her Wooden House now fit the bill perfectly.

However, the Warehouse Blueprint had come from the Silver Treasure Box in the Dungeon. She needed to discuss who it belonged to with Zachary Pierce; she couldn't just use it as she pleased.

Zachary Pierce didn't know what she had actually found, and he had even said she could have everything else as long as he got the Peerless Treasure Sword, but Faye Yardley wasn't a greedy person.

Maintaining a good partnership was more important than any short-term gain.

It wasn't as if she could just leave this shitty Survival World after this one Dungeon.

She couldn't do anything with the warehouse yet, but she had all the materials for the Backpack Expansion × 10 Diagrams and could use it now.

The cloth Faye Yardley had wrapped around herself instantly vanished the moment she confirmed she wanted to use the diagrams, leaving her speechless.

Fortunately, her original clothes had dried in that time, so she calmly put them on.

Sitting on a wooden box in front of the fireplace, Faye Yardley sent Zachary Pierce a message: "Mr. Pierce, besides the sword and the Small Group Chat Coupon you took, the Silver Treasure Box also contained: Production Workshop Diagram × 1, Warehouse Blueprint × 1, Antidote Potion Recipe × 1, Luminous Pearl × 2, and Water-Repelling Pearl × 1.

Also, what I got from looting and dismantling the giant snake after it died was: Snake Gallbladder × 1, energy-rich Snake Meat × 20, Snake Bone × 4, durable Snake Skin × 3, damaged Snake Skin × 2, Snake Blood × 500ml, Poisonous Fang × 2, Ordinary Island Entry Order × 1, and Snake Egg × 2.

As for the other materials like iron blocks and High Level Wood, besides the basic wood and stones, we still haven't divided them. Just tell me what you think."

After a short wait, he replied, "I already got the Treasure Sword and the Small Group Chat Coupon, plus most of the points. It's fine if you take the rest."

'At this stage, you could only add ten friends and only chat one-on-one. The Small Group Chat Coupon also had a ten-person limit, but it allowed everyone to discuss things together, which greatly improved efficiency.'

'And that sword, which the system called the Peerless Treasure Sword, was a truly potent weapon. On top of that, he had exchanged the 3,000 points for a lot of good things.'

'From chatting with the guys, he could tell he had profited the most from this Dungeon.'

'The thing was, this "little sister" Faye Yardley was just too honest. In his mind, getting just the two items he held from a single Silver Treasure Box was already hitting the jackpot. He never imagined there would be so much more.'

'He was more than happy to make a few concessions to stay on good terms with a King of Luck. If this "little sister" was not only a King of Luck but also an expert, then what use would he even be?'

Faye Yardley read his message, pouted, and tutted.

'Time to divide the loot.'

'I was originally going to take just thirty percent, but since you're being so generous, taking half shouldn't be too much, right?!'

She packed the Production Workshop Diagram × 1, Antidote Potion Recipe × 1, Luminous Pearl × 1, energy-rich Snake Meat × 10, Snake Bone × 2, damaged Snake Skin × 2, Snake Blood × 500ml, Poisonous Fang × 1, and Snake Egg × 2 into a Gift for Zachary Pierce.

She also packed up a portion of the other materials for Zachary Pierce. She kept a fair amount for herself, mainly because the Warehouse Blueprint was now hers. (*^▽^*)

"System, use the Warehouse Blueprint."

[Warehouse Blueprint: Requires an independent residence. Wood 26/50, Crystal 3/2, Space Stone 1/1. Insufficient materials. Unable to construct.]

'Huh? Short on wood again.'

Luckily, there was a trading market now. Faye Yardley traded the Sea Snake Meat and Fish Meat she had caught for some wood.

Once she had enough materials, she naturally started construction.

[Please select a location for the warehouse.]

Faye Yardley thought for a moment and placed it on the bedroom wall to the right of the workbench.

A log-colored cabinet, 2 meters long, 1 meter wide, and 3 meters high, instantly appeared.

"Are you kidding me? This is more like a storage cabinet. Why call it a warehouse?"

When she opened the cabinet doors, she found the space inside was surprisingly large. Moreover, the system notified her that items stored in the warehouse would not spoil.

"AHHH! What does that mean? Does food spoil in my backpack?"

[Congratulations, player. Your answer is correct.]

Faye Yardley: …

'Well, at least I confirmed something I didn't know before. It's not a complete waste.'

Faye Yardley also discovered that as long as she was inside the house, she could use the system to transfer items from her backpack to the warehouse—and vice versa—without even opening the cabinet door. It was extremely convenient.

After collecting the items still in the Gift, Faye Yardley started sorting through them. She split everything that could be split evenly, and for the things that couldn't, she took the extra one for herself. 'Haha, I feel like I got such a great deal. This is awesome~'

She transferred the items she wouldn't be using for a while—like the High Level Redwood, Intermediate Wood, High Level Fir Wood, and the durable Snake Skin—into the warehouse.

She only kept one piece of the energy-rich Snake Meat. She planned to craft a harpoon, spear the meat, and roast it over the fire to see what it felt like to be full of energy.

Then there were the 2 Attribute points she received for the first kill of the Second Tier BOSS. Faye Yardley decided she would wait until after she took the Basic Body Refining Pills to see which of her stats was lagging and needed a boost.

'But if I'm going to take the Body Refining Pill, should I take off the clothes I just put on?'

Faye Yardley sighed. She went to the workbench to make a harpoon first. 'Better to wait until I've replenished my energy,' she thought.

'After all, my Satiety Value has already dropped to 42. Taking a Body Refining Pill in this state might affect the results, right?'
