The Nexus was, in essence, a massive Teleportation Array. Its entrance was located on the easternmost edge of the Frostwastes, near the Abyssal Maw.
The Nexus was created over a hundred thousand years ago by Immortal Lord Caelus as an entrance connecting to various unknown places. Back then, Immortal Lord Caelus's wife had contracted a strange illness. She slept for longer and longer each day as her health deteriorated, until one day she fell into an endless slumber from which she never woke.
Immortal Lord Caelus was frantic. He searched far and wide across the Three Realms for doctors and remedies, but to no avail. He even tried some unorthodox folk remedies, but nothing worked.
Desperate, Immortal Lord Caelus turned his attention to ancient texts and finally created The Nexus according to a method he found in an old book.
