Seraphina Quinn stood frozen in place for a long time before finally sitting back down on the sofa.
Her mood had hit rock bottom, and she was on the verge of a complete breakdown.
She sat there for who knows how long, feeling completely numb, when a knock came from the door.

"Miss Quinn, he sent me to ask if you're still planning on leaving."
"If you are, I'll arrange for a car right away."
"If not, he requests that you join him for dinner downstairs."
Seraphina Quinn looked up, pulled out a tissue to wipe her bloodshot eyes, and after a moment of silence, said to Mark York at the door, "I'll be down for dinner in a little while."
Mark York said, "Very well," and withdrew.
When Mark York relayed Seraphina's decision to Cian, Cian wasn't surprised.
He knew she had seen right through him, but he also knew he had her exactly where he wanted her.
Seraphina was not the type of person to be indebted to anyone.
