Jude Langley walked Sylvia Sterling to the elevator.
He waited until the elevator doors closed.
Only then did Jude take out his phone and make a call.
"Relay a message to Jace Sheffield for me. Tell him to get his fiancée under control and to stop her from bothering Sylvia."
Without waiting for a response, Jude hung up.
About ten minutes later, Jude returned to the parking garage with Sylvia's purse and documents.
He was also carrying a cup of hot milk.
In the passenger seat, Sylvia was resting with her eyes closed.
She opened her eyes at the sound of the car door.
Jude leaned into the car, placing the purse and documents in the back seat.
"A hot drink. You'll feel better after this."
Sylvia took it in her hands. Seeing Jude dressed in a suit and tie, she raised an eyebrow and asked, "Did you have a meeting this morning?"
"It's over."
Sylvia took a sip of milk and smiled. "I'm not as fragile as you think. Don't let me keep you from your work."
