Bai Yunyun jolted awake from her dream almost instantly.
Her heart pounded violently in her chest. Bai Yunyun shook her mother, but she was sound asleep. Tears streamed silently down her face as she tried to call out to her.
She opened her mouth, but not a single sound came out.
A look of confusion appeared on her small, tear-streaked face.
'Why can't I talk! Mommy! WAAAAAHHHH!'
Bai Yunyun didn't understand the limitations of a human body. She had never spoken a word in this life, so even if her vocal cords were perfectly fine, she would still have to learn how to make sounds step by step.
Seeing she couldn't wake her mother, Bai Yunyun decided to go by herself.
'I don't dare push Mommy too hard. I'm afraid I'll hurt her.'
'How am I supposed to tell Mommy that something's happened to Uncle?'
'Why isn't Mommy waking up? Forget it, I'll go by myself.'
