"Honey, we can have more children." He patted Su Mian's hands, which were wrapped around him, his voice trembling inexplicably.
Su Mian understood his unspoken meaning, and her whole body began to tremble. "Su Yan is your son!"
Even a vicious tiger won't eat its own cubs—
"If this goes on, none of us will survive." Ye Jun suddenly grew calm, a sense of peace washing over him now that he had made up his mind.
He picked up Su Yan. "I'm sorry. Daddy was wrong. I shouldn't have lost my temper with Yanyan."
Su Mian finally started to sob quietly, but she didn't say anything.
"Let Daddy put you to bed." Ye Jun placed him on the sofa.
Su Mian scrambled up from the floor. It seemed she had accepted her fate.
She raised a question: "The blade is all banged up from hacking at the door. How are we going to prepare it?"
Ye Jun frowned. That was a problem.
He could harden his heart enough to cook his own child, but he still had a conscience. He couldn't possibly eat him raw.
