Mrs. Bai shot her a look. "Just squeeze in with Mei Qing. Don't go making a mess in Xiao Yunduo's room."
Bai Jiao bristled. "Mom! Am I even your real daughter?!"
With the little one awake, everyone had the energy to joke around again.
"I told you a long time ago, didn't I?" Mrs. Bai said. "I didn't give birth to you. I found you in a trash can."
Bai Jiao was fuming. She stomped back to Fang Meiqing's room, her face cold.
Fang Meiqing's face lit up when she saw Bai Jiao. "Jiao Jiao, is Xiao Yunduo awake?"
"How come you asked about Xiao Yunduo first instead of me?" Bai Jiao pouted, her face scrunching up.
Fang Meiqing breathed a sigh of relief. "Well, seeing you act like your usual self, Xiao Yunduo must be fine. I'll message Aunt Xiao, Hong Xue, and Xiao Chen to let them know. Oh, and don't forget to tell Shi Tou, too. He's barely been eating lately."
In the master bedroom, Mr. and Mrs. Bai were also chatting in a much lighter mood.
