Jason Forrester wasn't a complete idiot. He could tell at a glance that the man wasn't an insurance salesman; he just hadn't felt like calling him out on it yet.
But he really couldn't figure out what this guy was trying to do. If the man wanted to kill them, he would have done it by now. He wouldn't be dithering around like this, which was completely out of character for a professional assassin.
"I-I really am just here about the insurance. If there's nothing else, I'll be leaving."
"And stop looking at me like that. If I were here to kill you, I would have done it already. I wouldn't have dragged it out this long."
"So this whole situation is just a complete misunderstanding on your part. A total misunderstanding."
"If you don't have any more questions, then let's just leave it at that."
