"Little Master, Little Master," the parrot squawked, flapping its wings beside her. "Give me some too, Little Master. Little Master, Little Master, the little tiger means he wants to drink two more basins of water. Can water even fill his stomach?"
Xie Ning stingily filled another small half-basin of water for them. "I have no idea how deep this well is. What if it runs dry after we drink from it for a few days?"
Little Spider was speechless. "Little Master, what are you even thinking? This well is intrinsically linked to the entire farmhouse Space. As long as the farmhouse Space exists, this well will never run dry."
Xie Ning: ...
'Great,' she thought. 'The damn parrot corrupted Little Spider. Now it's calling me Little Master, too.'
'Even 'Subject Ningning' sounded better than this...'
"Are you sure it's okay for me to give them more?" Xie Ning asked hesitantly. "Shouldn't you measure the depth of the well?"
