Chapter 24 - 24

My Sister Never Said She Was a Creepy Tale

Back in the classroom, Yue Yiyue saw Ye Qiu sitting beside her, fiddling with something. Yue Yiyue glanced at it, showing little interest. On the desk lay a half-finished math problem; she wanted to continue writing. However, her thoughts were too scattered, and her writing was messy.

"Eh—you two split up," Ye Qiu leaned over, blinking. Seeing Yue Yiyue's unhappy look, she gazed at her: "What's wrong? Did something happen?"

"If you know, I won't bother answering. You know what happened." Yue Yiyue believed Ye Qiu's unknown abilities meant she was only asking out of boredom. Her mind was currently too chaotic, and she didn't really want to answer the question.

"I just think it would be more interesting coming from your mouth." Ye Qiu looked at Yue Yiyue's cold demeanor, finding it somewhat rare. She leaned in closer to appreciate it, not forgetting to coax her: "Tell me about it. Maybe I can help you."

Yue Yiyue was not in the mood for Ye Qiu's nonsense. She subtly shifted away.

Seeing Yue Yiyue's small action of refusing communication: "Who upset you? I'll go get revenge for you later." "But right now, Yiyue, talk to me. At least let me apply some medicine to you." Her hand swept across the red mark on Yue Yiyue's neck. Her voice was still gentle, carrying a hint of soft affection: "Don't refuse me too many times, or I'll be unhappy, dear Yiyue~"

A strong, familiar scent assaulted her, making Yue Yiyue feel a little dizzy, yet she couldn't remember what the smell was. Ye Qiu looked at the puppy throwing a fit, and her slightly cold hand gently rubbed Yiyue's earlobe.

As Ye Qiu drew closer, Yue Yiyue felt as though she had been firmly grabbed by some large beast. She had the illusion that she would soon be thoroughly consumed. The alarm in her mind blared, and her brain sent a command: "Listen to her obediently, and nothing will happen."

"You… seem, somewhat wrong." No matter how slow-witted Yue Yiyue was, she realized Ye Qiu was somewhat displeased. But the moment the words left her mouth, she regretted it. Yue Yiyue instantly tensed up, afraid Ye Qiu would flip her over and beat her up the next second.

"You've become curious about me now." Ye Qiu did not answer the question. She looked at Yue Yiyue with a smile, and her pale fingers poked Yue Yiyue's head: "I thought you'd only have eyes for Gu Nanqiu."

This remark sounded intensely jealous and somewhat inexplicable.

"But Gu Nanqiu just left, and you're already curious about another woman. Aren't you a little too unfaithful?"

What is she talking about? Yue Yiyue was startled and frantically waved her hands: "No, I'm not."

Ye Qiu sounded regretful: "Is that so? My information is that the two of you sleep together every night. I thought…" She didn't finish the rest, leaving room for speculation. The person in front also leaned in, and the idle chatter around them quieted down. Yue Yiyue truly couldn't understand what was wrong with two girls sleeping together at night. She looked at Ye Qiu blankly, seemingly waiting for a standard answer.

"You ungrateful little thing. Don't let there be a next time."

After a brief sigh, Ye Qiu retreated to her own seat, shrugging her shoulders. The inexplicable sense of oppression vanished with Ye Qiu's movement.

"Do you want to know what Gu Nanqiu went to do?" Ye Qiu asked carelessly, fiddling with the object in her hand.

Yue Yiyue hadn't fully recovered from the conversation, but she subconsciously gave her answer: "She'll tell me herself when she gets back."

"What if she doesn't?"

"I won't ask. I don't have that right." Yue Yiyue firmly set her own position. Her answer was extremely quick, without any hesitation.

"I see." Ye Qiu picked up a strand of Yue Yiyue's hair, playing with it in her hand: "I understand what you mean." She's still worried, but she feels she doesn't have the right to question, so she obediently came back. Having gotten the answer she wanted, Ye Qiu judged that the object in her hand was warm enough. She crooked her finger.

Yue Yiyue subconsciously leaned over. Ye Qiu pulled up her hair, exposing the reddened, chafed area, which looked painful. Ye Qiu carefully applied the somewhat sticky ointment. Yue Yiyue didn't understand why she was so accustomed to this, as if the person in front of her often treated her wounds. The icy ointment on her neck made her jump. The distraction caused the confusion in her mind to vanish without a trace. She mumbled softly: "So cold."

"I've already warmed it up, but it won't be effective if it's too hot. Bear with it, I'll give you a reward later." Ye Qiu's voice was close to her ear, patiently coaxing her. Her gaze fell on Yue Yiyue's nape. Seeing more marks than yesterday, Ye Qiu's eyes darkened, and she mocked in her heart: The young just can't control themselves. She meticulously applied a thick layer of ointment to conceal the ambiguous red marks.

When Gu Nanqiu returned, Yue Yiyue was asleep, slumped on the desk. Her face was flushed, and a large coat was draped over her shoulders. Gu Nanqiu gave a fake smile as she looked at the boundary-pushing monster who knew no limits: "You should go back now."

Ye Qiu, playing with Yue Yiyue's hand, looked at the defective item in front of her and smiled: "Since it's come to this, shouldn't protecting her be the most important thing?" "Don't forget, this is all so she can safely stay in…"

When Yue Yiyue woke up, the first person she saw was Gu Nanqiu. She groggily touched the clothing on her body; it was Gu Nanqiu's jacket. Did Nanqiu wear this when she went out? Maybe. But this wasn't the time to dwell on it. Yue Yiyue looked at Gu Nanqiu, whose expression was not unhappy. It seemed nothing upsetting had happened to her. The stone hanging in her heart finally dropped.

Yue Yiyue handed the coat over, embarrassed: "I don't know why, but I suddenly felt incredibly sleepy." She looked up at the clock on the blackboard. She had slept through the entire afternoon class, and Ye Qiu hadn't woken her up.

Gu Nanqiu took the jacket and looked at Yue Yiyue without speaking, seemingly waiting for Yue Yiyue to say something. Under that strange gaze, Yue Yiyue got up and checked herself twice, then tried to recall if she had forgotten something she had promised Gu Nanqiu.

Gu Nanqiu blinked, looking disappointed at Yue Yiyue: "Are you really not going to ask what I went to do?"

"Can I ask?" Yue Yiyue was stunned. She hadn't expected Gu Nanqiu was waiting for this. But that was between her and Zhang Yang; it wasn't necessary for her, an outsider.

"Why not?" Gu Nanqiu leaned in and intimately linked her arm with Yue Yiyue's: "We are the best friends. Best friends shouldn't have secrets."

The best… friends. Hearing this, Yue Yiyue's lips unconsciously curved upwards. Realizing she looked a bit foolish, she turned her head, shielding her face shyly: "Yes! Then I want to ask what happened between you and Zhang Yang later. I'm very curious." "Especially curious." She added seriously, her eyes shining with a light she didn't even notice, like a stray puppy being fitted with a collar.

Gu Nanqiu smiled slightly, naturally taking Yue Yiyue's hand and walking toward the cafeteria: "Yiyue, later I'll accompany Zhang Yang to and from school, just like before the exam." "I'm sorry, this was a condition she proposed."

"That's understandable." Yue Yiyue nodded in comprehension: "I'll wait for you." She would just be in the way there, like this morning…

That evening, Gu Nanqiu was picked up by Zhang Yang to go to her dorm. Yue Yiyue thought she would have to stay alone in the empty dorm for a few days. But an unexpected guest arrived at the door—Ye Qiu.

Yue Yiyue looked at Ye Qiu, who was carrying her pajamas, feeling confused. "What are you doing here?"

"To sleep with you." Ye Qiu said, walking inside. She commented like the dorm's new owner: "It looks quite nice, just a bit rundown. But having you here makes up for that." After speaking, she walked to Yue Yiyue's window and pressed the soft bed: "So you two sleep this well at night. Sometimes I really envy that."

Yue Yiyue followed behind, watching Ye Qiu's familiar manner. Countless question marks popped up in her head, but the feeling of her private space being inexplicably invaded made her uncomfortable.

"What do you mean 'sleep with me'? I don't need that. Thank you for your kind offer." Yue Yiyue frowned and opened the door, intending to ask her to leave.

"You don't know?" Ye Qiu seemed a little perplexed by Yue Yiyue's coldness. She clicked her tongue softly and tossed her pajamas onto the bed: "Someone wants your life, you know—"

"Don't refuse me" "Don't refuse me" "Don't refuse me" A strange voice came from afar, like the low, distorted, maniacal whispers of a strange creature. "Don't" "Can't" "Don't" "Can't" "I love you" "I love you" "I love you"

Ye Qiu still had her smiling look, but Yue Yiyue felt the smile was overly dangerous, and she was already trapped in the monster's cage.

"If it can kill you, it can take your place beside Gu Nanqiu, you see." After saying this, Ye Qiu looked at Yue Yiyue, who looked ready to run at any moment. She sighed mournfully: "Why don't you trust me at all?" "You ungrateful little thing. Ignoring my texts repeatedly is fine, but you brought me here, and then you treat me like this. I really…"

The next moment, Ye Qiu intimately leaned into the now-dazed Yiyue: "Baby, you're always so disobedient." She completely enveloped Yue Yiyue. Her slender, pale hand slowly traced down through the clothing, finally stopping at Yue Yiyue's slender waist. An eager tentacle took the opportunity to wrap around her calf, clinging to the warm skin with its owner's indulgence, absorbing the scent that pleased It.

"Baby, it's just us here. Nanqiu won't know. Consider this a little interest, otherwise, we just can't hold back…"
