Chapter 30 - Chapter 147: Birthday 3.0

Jayjay's POV

I was almost changed and just needed to zip the dress. Crap, how? I mean, I can't reach it, so how can I zip my dress? Thank God I didn't go to the restroom; I just went to the empty room beside our classroom and locked it. I opened the lock and peeked out. There was Keifer. Is he smoking? He's doomed. I'll kill him; we had a deal.

I just whistled and he turned towards the door. He hurriedly threw his cigarette away, but I saw it already. Mark Keifer Watson, you're dead meat. You apple seed. Okay, I'll beat him later. He was stepping on the cigarette, trying to hide it, and he was looking at me with an awkward smile. I just signaled him to come here and he came.

"Call Rakki, say her Jay needs her," I whispered.

"Why?" he asked.

"I can't zip my dress, idiot," I whispered. He turned to leave but turned around midway. I knew that he was going to do something.

"Ohh, I can do that," he smirked, and I threw whatever was near me. He laughed then went into the classroom. After a while, Rakki came.

"You need me?" she asked, and I nodded. Then she came in.

"My dress zip, I can't zip it," I said and she nodded. Then I just turned around and she zipped my dress, the fabric finally fitting perfectly. "What did Keifer say to you?" I asked curiously, because if he said something else, I'm gonna beat him and then beat him again—first beating for smoking and the other beating for telling something else.

"He said that you need me," she said normally.

"He only said that?" I asked and she nodded. "Okay," I said, and then we both walked out of the room. We went into the classroom and everyone had changed. I didn't notice that Rakki had also changed into her normal clothes. I went to Ci-n, who was standing close to Aries, Percy, and Felix.

"Where are we going?" I asked, and they all just made that face that says they don't know. Argh, I have to ask Keifer now; I will have to walk again. I walked to him and asked the same thing. "Where are we going?" And he smirked. I swear someday I'm gonna tear his lips for smirking so much.

"Surprise," he said, and I rolled my eyes because I thought that the surprises had been over, but there are still some left. I hate surprises because I'm always curious about things, and if I don't get to know about them, my stomach starts to hurt so much. Am I becoming a gossip girl? Side effects of staying with Percy and Ci-n so much.

"All to your cars!" Keifer shouted, and one by one they all left. Only Papa, Percy, Aries, and Keifer were left.

"What?" I asked.

"You're going with me," they all said in unison. But the boys backed off since I went to Papa.

"I'll go with Papa," I said and smiled. We all went to the parking lot. The boys got settled down in whichever car was there. I was just shocked by Papa's car—it was a BMW. My eyes got wide as I looked at the sleek, shiny car. I looked at Papa and pointed at the car.

"Is that... yours?" I asked and he nodded. Suddenly, I slapped my mouth—I mean, I covered my mouth from shock.

"Let's get in," Papa said and I nodded. I didn't know Papa was that rich. Hehe, I'm a rich guy's daughter. We got in the car and Papa started driving the car.

The ride was simple until a question bit my head. So I asked it to Papa.

"Papa, why did you leave me and Mama? If you don't want to tell, then don't tell," I said, but he looked at me then looked back at the road, his hands gripping the steering wheel a bit tighter.

"I want to tell," he said, and I nodded even if he wasn't looking at me.

"So your grandpa, who was against mine and Jenna's relationship, he threatened me to leave you both or see you both dead. And I can't do both, but I have to do something. So I picked to push Jenna away. I decided to tell her everything once the things were settled, but I didn't get the chance. Your mom never believed or trusted me again; she didn't talk to me again, because my father—your grandpa—made me marry Percy's mom, and then I lost the place in Jenna's heart which was mine," he said, and a tear slipped down from his eye to his cheek, but he wiped it quickly with the back of his hand.

Why did his story seem the same as me and Keifer? It doesn't just seem like ours; it is the same as ours. To ease the tension and lighten his mood, I decided to tell him our story. I just hope he doesn't get angry at Keifer.

"Papa, do you know I've been through that situation, but the end is not the same as Mama's?" I said, and he looked at me confused. "Want to know what happened?" I asked, and he nodded.

"So me and Keifer didn't like each other at first. We were literal enemies because of Aries; he and Keifer weren't on good terms, so Keifer decided to use me to get back at Aries. And he made a plan to make me fall for him and then he'll break my heart, but fate didn't let that happen. I fell first, but he fell harder," I said and laughed softly, the memory of those early days making me smile. "But I was engaged to Yuri, the red-hair guy," I said, and he nodded.

"So I tried to push Keifer away, but I can't because I loved him, so we got into a relationship. Then everything changed after our retreat. He revealed his plan to me and said that he didn't love me, but after some days he went to London and he never came back. Like, he came back but never showed himself to me; he came and checked on me, but I didn't know it then. He came back when everything got under control, and he told me that the plan he started ended before he realized, and he just pushed me away to protect me from his relatives. Because they were giving Keifer threats that if he didn't give his mom's inheritance to them, they will hurt me, so he said that he had no choice left. But see now, we're back to normal like we were and now on even better terms. You know our story is the same, but there is only one difference," I said, and he looked at me.

"He came back on time while I came back late," he said, and I nodded. Then he shifted his gaze back to the road.

"I'm happy for my pretty daughter," Papa said smiling, and I smiled back.

"But don't worry, when love is true, the heart opens itself without any warning," I said and he just nodded. "If you loved Mama truly, then you both will be good," I said and he smiled.

After that, we talked about how we were, and I told him that I had stabbed my old classmate with a pencil. Hehe, that wasn't all; I told him how I kicked and punched Cyrus and he came back from death. I know, I know that I was dangerous back then, but now I'm not like that; I've changed a lot.

Just like that, talking and laughing, we reached our destination. Papa told me that Keifer sent him the location; when I asked him where, he just said "Surprise" like him. We both got out and I went to see where we were. Ohh, just a park. Wait, a park? Why? I mean, why did we come to a park? What have they planned now? One more surprise? No, no, I don't want one more surprise.

Ohh crap, I have to buy a puppy today, but these fools won't let me go. What should I do? Suddenly, someone snapped his fingers in front of me. And I looked at who it was—ohh, Yuri.

"Where have you been lost?" he asked.

"Nothing, let's go in," I said and he nodded, looking confused. Me, Yuri, and Papa walked inside the gate. There was the chaos—I mean Section E. They were screaming and doing what they do, while those who weren't Section E were looking traumatized, especially Freya. Then I went to Keifer and he looked at me then smiled, and I smiled back.

"Why the park?" I asked.

"Just for fun and to do whatever you want," he said.

"Okay," I said and was about to walk away, but then I saw someone. Marco? He came to me.

"Hi, Tooth Fairy, how's it going?" he asked, and I could feel Keifer burning.

"Ohh, Toothless! I'm fine, and you?" I asked and he just gave a thumbs up. Then Keifer held my wrist and brought me closer—not that much, but still enough that Marco would notice, and he did. I could feel Keifer's body heating even from the distance; he is jealous. Keifer let go of my wrist.

"And he is...?" Marco asked.

"Keifer, my—"

"Husband," Keifer cut me off, and my eyes went wide. I glared at him.

"Ohh, I'm Marco, Jayjay's old classmate from her old school," he said and extended his hand for a handshake. Keifer looked at his hand for exactly three seconds and then he accepted the handshake.

"Nice to meet you," Marco said.

"Me too," Keifer lied. I know that this is not nice.

"Tooth Fairy, how's your married life?" Marco asked.

"Actually—" I was about to spill the truth when Keifer tapped my back. "It's great," I said.

"Ohh, that's good. Okay, happy birthday, Tooth Fairy," he said and I smiled.

"Thanks," I replied.

"Oh, I should leave now," he said and I nodded. "Okay, bye, Tooth Fairy," he said.

"Bye-bye, Toothless!" I yelled and he waved. I waved back and then he vanished. But Keifer's jealousy wasn't gone.

I was about to go when Keifer grabbed my wrist and took me with him under the tree, far from the chaos. He pinned me to the trunk and placed his hands against my head.

"What?" I asked.

"That Toothless... who is he?" he asked, and I internally started dancing because he was so jealous. I pretended to be irritated and pushed him, but he didn't even move a little.

"Keifer, he is my old classmate," I said.

"Yeah, but classmates don't call their classmates Tooth Fairy," he said.

"Well, he is Marco—the one I stabbed with a pencil, hehe," I said as I rubbed the back of my neck.

"Ohh. But why did he call you Tooth Fairy, and you call him Toothless?" he asked.

"Ohh, because I punched him so many times that I broke every one of his baby teeth," I said.

"Yeah I remember the two punches you gave me" he said and I laughed softly "So you guys weren't together?" he asked.

"No! And how dare you think like that? We were each other's bullies," I said, and he finally removed his hands.

"Sorry," he said, and I just nodded. Then I looked at his pocket. A lighter? Oh wait, a cigarette. I just remembered.

"You were smoking," I said, crossing my arms. He looked here and there, but not into my eyes.

"No," he said.

"Don't lie to me," I said.

"I—I really didn't," he insisted.

"Okay, then look into my eyes and say that. And if you smile, you're lying," I said. He shook his head, and I pointed at his face.

"Ha! Liar!" I said.

"Sorry, but I do sometimes," he admitted.

"Okay, fine. But today was the last time," I said, and he nodded. I raised my pinky finger for promise and he did it.

The End 🌸.
