I need to share something very important. Recently, some "accounts" have been leaving comments on my book. I want to show you how these are scams so you can stay safe too.
Case #1: The "Book_sphere" Scam (From 22 days ago)
Account: book_sphere00
The Message: "Author: CrystalClear_123, I just discovered your story and I'm surprised it isn't getting more attention... I'd love to connect. Reach me on Discord, Telegram, or Email..."
What happened: When I asked them what company they were from or what they liked about my book, they ignored my questions. They just wanted my personal contact info!
Case#2:The"Bookblaze"Scam (Today)
Account: Josephmses
The Message: "CrystalClear_123, I found something missing in your story and it could change everything! Want to hear it? Let's connect!"
Why I'm sharing this:
Notice how they both use the same "script"? They try to make you feel like your book is in trouble or needs "help" just to get you to message them on WhatsApp or Gmail.
I've dealt with this before, and my personal information and my book are safe. I'm sharing this because I want other young writers to stay safe too. If someone comments saying they "found something missing" or your story "deserves more views," totally ignore them. Don't give them anything. They are just scamming you.
The Trap: First, they will try to get your personal information (real name, age, country, etc.).
The Hook: Then, they will tell you that if you "invest" money with them, your book will become famous.
The Fake Contract: Finally, they may send you a fake contract. Be careful! These contracts can be used to steal the rights to your story, meaning you would no longer own your own characters or plot. They could also use them to trick you into paying hidden fees or even try to hack your accounts.
Please be careful with these types of people. Your talent is yours—don't let anyone trick you into giving it away!
