Chapter 48 - 2nd Chance

Sloth Ring, Hell

I slowly pulled myself out of the shadows as I looked around the place before I shifted my looks.

"Hope you don't dislike me taking your looks Ulaine." I said before taking on the looks of an old Guildmate of mine that looked like a goatman with noble attire.

Reason why I disguised myself as Ulaine was because the Sloth Ring was mostly occupied by goat like demons, sure their were other races but for one thing was that Hellhounds weren't allowed down here without a leash or one having an Adoption paper on them to even walk down here.

From what I know is that way back, like several hundred years ago or maybe even more the time isn't exact but Belphagor and Beelzebub got into a fight and Bee stole a lot, like literal tons of Belphagor's large stockpile of drugs and narcotics she sells across hell.

Now when you look at Belphagor you see just a sleepy goat girl, but deep down she is almost as vengeful as Leviathan who is the Sin of Envy herself.

So she came up with a idea to build herself an 'Adoption' center specifically for Hellhounds the very race Beelzebub was known for making way back in the past and made it so any Hellhounds captured or were born in Sloth at young ages would be brought into the 'adoption center' and thus have them raised as servants/slaves to whoever 'adopted' them.

There was of course who genuinely went for adoption but this place was a Hellhound trafficking center and if any live up to 18 without being 'adopted' they were basically taken care of Ol'Yeller style and it happens a lot since plenty of Hellhounds aren't that genuinely good to look at.

The safe haven for Hellhounds is the Gluttony ring where Bee puts her foot down when it comes to people trying to steal her people, but outside of her ring it's not her problem.

Is that cruel? Maybe but Bee isn't the babysitter of all Hellhounds so it's just bad luck if you were born into Sloth.

(A/N I know it's debated where the Adoption Center is since it's not said to be in Gluttony and the signature on the Adoption Papers doesn't match Bee's signature as hers looks like Bee but the one on the papers looks like Bel for Belphagor so I'm just going to set it up like this for this version of the Hazbin/Hellaverse)

As for why I was here well it's obviously to get Loona as IMP hasn't formed yet and from what I can tell Blitzo is still in Jail so he must have met Moxxie but not gotten Loona.

Not only that but there's a chance he hasn't met Millie either so I'm gonna go look for her as well after this.

But first it was time to do a prison break, so I went and looked into the Prison using the [Farsight] skill that allows me to view things from a distance but since I can naturally move through shadows it was as if the shadows themselves were acting like my own personal cameras.

As I looked into this prison through [Farsight] every hellhound inside of their cells all instantly got the chills making their fur bristle in response, it was clear they had heightened senses realizing something was watching them.

But most of them brushed it off as nothing while I kept looking around the prison for who I was looking for.

"Hmm…. There are several options to choose from here." I say peering at the many different Hellhounds in this Adoption Center/Prison.

Plenty of strong looking hellhounds and good looking ones at that as well but I already had my eyes set on one girl within the prison.

She looked depressed while scratching at the walls leaving tally marks of her time trapped here.

She was living in her own private cell, that was because of how violent she was with anyone who was designated to stay in the same cell as her.

Not to mention the shock collar wrapped around her neck to keep her in line so she wouldn't snap or attack anyone randomly anymore.

Suddenly she felt the shock collar unlock around her neck making her eyes widen in surprise since those clamps only unlock with a key.

"You must have been in here for quite a long time." A voice spoke to her all while she saw the shadows shift around her.

This tensed her up making her growl barring her fangs while her claws came out.

"Ooo, scary." I say as I pull myself up and into the shape of shadows before changing my form right before her.

Though as soon as seeing me she audibly gulped at my sight as I took on the form of a Hellhound, a rather good looking Hellhound at that, more so she is willing to deal with me.

"Heh, I take it you hate this little slice of hell don't you?" I said to her to which she rolled her eyes.

"You think? This place sucks…. Not only that I only have six months left and then…." She said before using a finger gun against her head before pulling the trigger.

"Then wanna make a deal? Not an adoption or anything cause I'm only a few years older than you, but work for me and you will make all the money you could ever want." I say to her.

But she just squints her eyes hearing this, "I'm maybe young, but I'm not stupid enough to sell my soul to another."

"Sell your soul? No, no, it's a workers contract is all, no tricks no hidden clauses just a workers contract that pays more than one could ever get within a day alone." I say before summoning the contract for her to read.

She takes it and looks it over, her eyes widening the sight of seeing her get paid a single credit a day, but that credit equaling 133.7 Million Dollars seemed like a crazy amount of money for her.

Not only that all she needed was to run a shop and top of that she earns commissions from her sales where if someone sells something to the shop to purchase something she would get 25% of the credits back from the sale.

So if someone sold off something for 100 credits and used all that up half goes to the shop with a quarter going to me and the other quarter going to her giving her 25 credits.

"Now I wouldn't get too excited about the commissions side of the job for a few months but come about around six months from now you will be swimming in credits." I tell her.

"Why?" She asks confused but I just grinned.

"Cause the next extermination is coming early and plenty of angels come down and angel parts sell for a good amount at the shop, not to mention I sell weapons that kill angels easily." I say to her with my fangs bared at the thought.

"Killing angels huh…. Alright I'm down for the idea, plus making money like that doesn't just happen." She says before taking the pen I offered her to sign off on her workers contract.

She didn't have any idea why this man decided to hire her, but really it's much better than staying here to die.

So with the contract signed I snapped my fingers before it faded away as I held out my hand, "Now then, let's get you out of here."

I say to which she takes my hand and we sink into the shadows once more with no one the wiser.

Now all that was left was to find Millie.
