The wolf pungent and strong smell makes a good use form the bait, he saw the lifeless wolf was killed without hesitation with the use of his stoen dagger, he saw this as an opportunity to hunt other predators with the use of his bait.
And with no hesitation, he started cutting the wolves skin one by one, making an insition that reveals a dark and reddish flesh that is visible to Elias vision,
Elias was horrified on what he saw because this is the first time he butchered a living things, he saw the internal organs that happened when he gathered and sliced the flesh and fat of the wolf, he saw the intestines were partially open, revealing a long and strentched muscle that was disturbed by Elias itself

Then, Elias placed the body parts of a wolf in a medium sized bundle that was capable of storing large quantities of flesh and fat without the need of wasting them, Apart from that, the fabric that the bundle has can produce a large strong odor that attracts nearby animals and wild predators from its trap, Making a good and productive bait
On the other hand, Elias placed the bait just by hanging in the tree with the use of the rope he once had in his backpack, making a bait that is safe for predators,
Apart from that, he was disgusted from what he saw, his hands were covered in wolves blood, apart for the remains of flesh that was covered by his hands, And because of its disgusted appearance, he immediately goes to the river and washes his hands repeadetly until there were no signs of blood, much removing the strong smell that was in his hands, making the predators will not smell the wolf blood that Elias had In his hands
He immediatey removed the strong smell and the blood from its hands, making him more safer and cautious from his surrounding, Much like that, Elias is hungry afterall because of him surviving just by relying on wild berries and fruits and water from which makes him survive a longer period of time
After he washed his hands on clean water, He immediately proccedes from the wolves corpse once again, He knew that the corpse that ws laying on the ground will attract nearby animals instead of the trap that Elias made, thus making the trap ineffective. In order to avoid that, he needed to avoid the wolf corpse he killed, He wanted to rid the corpse that was lying on the floor with the use of digging, burying and eating the wolf so that it will not attrat the animals attention,
But instead of removing it, Elias dragged the wolf corpse on the pit so tat it acts as a bait for animals to lure in, He dragged all the wolves from the pit that Elias made, making and delievering a strong an dpungent smell that resembles a dying corpse smell, from which will attract animals that may lead to Elis trap
He saw the pit was full of dead wolves and poisonus spikes, He saw this that the trap is very effective because of its multiple layers of trap and is a gurranteed to hunt the nearby predators from the pit,
And after that, Elias immediately covered the pit with the use of dry leaves and twigs that he gathered earlier, making the pit camoflagued and partially detectable and will cannot be seen by other animals,
Also, he gathered a lot of dry leaves before his break time, he only selected all the dry leaves for better camofalgued and is not visible seen for the animals
He piled the dry leaves in a separate layer, blending in the ground, and because of the twig support, anyone who could've stepped in the pit will eb fal to their death, the camoflagued pit makes the trap effective and he will not worry about the chaos that will occur when it is nighttime,
After two hours has passed, the trap finally completed, completing all the requirements that the trap has, pit, spikes, poison, bait and lastly the camoflagued pit, All of tehm completed in one go, Elias plan was perfectly executed and was prepared for the upcoming night.
