Grace seemed to surrender to my embrace, and nothing had ever felt so good. The fact we had cleared the air between us made me feel more at ease. We had come to the agreement that sex was not going to happen, but when Grace had accepted my hug, I had been reluctant to let her go. Her body against mine felt surprisingly good. Like she belonged there, and I hoped she felt the same.
I felt terrible for making her feel unwanted, so with her within my arms, I wanted to display to her without overstepping the line, just how much I wanted her. I ran my hands softly down her arms and watched Grace visibly shiver under my touch. I loved the feel of her close to me. Knowing the one I had waited so long for was finally back by my side. She had saved me all those years ago, perhaps I could save her now. Save her from whatever struggles she was hiding from me.
