Assuming Grace had meant the words she had said to Kael in her moment of fake kindness, I had taken the opportunity to have some time to myself. My moments to myself when we were home were usually so brief or simply provided as a time to rest, that a chance to wander freely around the packhouse was pleasant. But I had my mind on one thing.
Back at home I had such little time, that escaping to the library was difficult. But here, with Grace preoccupied with Kael I may have a chance. A chance to find who I was. And that was something that felt like it was becoming more important as the days passed.
