"What do you mean he laid a claim on me?" I grumbled, feeling my frustration bubble up fast. "He has ignored me for weeks, Sean, weeks! He can't just suddenly come to me one day and act interested when he's been an ass the entire time! He cornered me in the storage room! And at the introduction, he was standing right next to me!"
Sean shrugged and took a large bite of the chicken drumstick in his hand. I watched the grease drip down his chin and wrinkled my nose. I genuinely enjoyed his company, but the man ate like an animal.
"He is an animal," my wolf murmured helpfully.
Oh, stop it. I used to appreciate the quiet in my head before her commentary started barging in uninvited.
She chortled. "You'd miss me."
I made a neutral sound in response and she huffed at me.
Sean paused his demolishing of the poor chicken leg and wiped his fingers, fixing me with a look. "He's an Alpha wolf."
I stared at him. "And?"
