I found Molly hoarding food at the buffet table, greeting me with a wide, bread-filled grin the moment she spotted me coming. She grabbed a large plate and thrust it into my hands before proceeding to pile food onto it like a mother hen making sure her chick would not starve. I had to physically step back and take the plate out of her reach before she loaded the entire table onto it.
My mind was still hazy from everything that had happened in his office. The closeness, the blood pact, the kiss, and then on top of all of that, finding out he was leaving for a month. He had only just started actually speaking to me and now he was going again.
My brain hurt.
My wolf huffed in agreement.
"So, what did the Alpha want?" Molly eyed me with obvious suspicion as we settled with our food.
I rolled my eyes and tried to sound casual. "He joined me to the pack."
