Chapter 16 - Episode 16 – The Truth They Hid

The mansion no longer felt like just a safe place.

It had become a battlefield.

Ariya Verma stood near the window, her hands clenched tightly. The fear was still there—but it no longer controlled her. Not after what happened. Not after she fought back.

Behind her, Arnav Malhotra was already working—reviewing files, making calls, planning something bigger. His calmness wasn't just strength… it was strategy.

"They won't stop," Ariya said quietly. "Not until they get what they want."

Arnav looked up, his eyes sharp. "Then we stop them first."

She turned, surprised. "What do you mean?"

He stepped closer, his voice low and steady.

"We don't wait for another attack. We go to them. We end this."

For a moment, silence filled the room. This wasn't just defense anymore—this was war.

The Hidden Truth

That night, Arnav revealed something he had been keeping hidden.

"There's a reason your mother wants you so badly," he said.

Ariya's heart skipped. "What reason?"

Arnav placed a file in front of her. Inside were documents, property papers, and legal records.

"Everything your father owned… all his wealth, assets, and power…" he paused, watching her reaction,

"it's all in your name."

Ariya froze.

"All this time…" she whispered, "they weren't just controlling me…"

"They were waiting," Arnav finished. "Waiting until they could legally take everything through you."

The truth hit her like a storm.

Her own mother…

Hadn't just been cruel.

She had been using her.

Tears filled Ariya's eyes—not of weakness, but of betrayal.

"I was never their daughter…" she whispered. "I was just… a way to get power."

Before the pain could consume her, Arnav stepped forward and held her firmly.

"You are not what they made you feel," he said, his voice soft but powerful.

"You are stronger than them. And now… you know the truth."

Ariya closed her eyes, leaning into him. This time, she didn't fall apart.

This time… she stood stronger.

A Dangerous Decision

The next morning, everything changed.

Ariya walked into the room where Arnav was planning their next move. Her expression was no longer fearful. It was determined.

"I'm coming with you," she said.

Arnav frowned slightly. "No. It's too dangerous."

"I'm not hiding anymore," she replied firmly. "This is my fight too."

Their eyes locked—intense, unyielding.

For a moment, Arnav saw not the scared girl he rescued…

but a strong woman ready to face her past.

Slowly, he nodded.

"Then we do this together."

A Moment Before the Storm

That night, before everything would change, silence filled the space between them.

Ariya stood on the balcony, the wind brushing against her face. Arnav walked beside her.

"What if something goes wrong?" she asked softly.

Arnav looked at her, his gaze deeper than ever before.

"Then I'll make it right."

She smiled faintly. "You always say that."

"And I always mean it."

For a moment, neither spoke.

Then, without thinking, Ariya stepped closer.

Her hand gently found his.

"I'm not afraid anymore," she whispered.

Arnav's grip tightened slightly—not controlling, but protective… emotional.

"Good," he said softly.

"Because this ends now."
