Chapter 15 - Episode 15 – No Way Back

The warning echoed in Ariya Verma's mind:

"Next time, there will be no warnings."

And this time… Raghav meant it.

It happened in the early evening. Ariya was in the study, going through some documents Arnav had given her, trying to focus, trying to feel normal. But suddenly, the lights went out again—this time, not flickering… completely dead.

Her heart dropped.

"No…" she whispered.

Before she could move, the sound of shattered glass echoed through the mansion.

"Ariya!" Arnav Malhotra's voice cut through the darkness as he rushed toward her, his presence instantly grounding her fear.

"They're inside," he said, his tone sharp, controlled—but beneath it, she could feel the urgency.

This wasn't like before.

This wasn't a warning.

This was an attack.

Raghav stepped out of the shadows, no mask this time. His eyes were cold, calculating. "You should have come quietly," he said. "Now things have to get… messy."

Ariya froze—but only for a second. Then she remembered everything Arnav had taught her.

Stay calm. Stay aware. Don't panic.

Arnav stepped in front of her instantly, his body shielding hers. "You won't take her," he said, his voice deadly calm.

The fight that followed was fierce and relentless. Raghav wasn't alone this time—he had backup. The mansion turned into chaos, shadows moving, footsteps echoing, danger closing in from every side.

At one point, one of the attackers broke through from behind.

"Ariya—move!" Arnav shouted.

But this time… she didn't freeze.

She reacted.

Using everything he had taught her, she dodged the attack, pushing herself out of danger. Her heart raced, but she didn't collapse into fear. She stood her ground.

Arnav saw it—and for a split second, pride flashed in his eyes even in the middle of chaos.

Finally, after a brutal struggle, Arnav overpowered Raghav, forcing him back. Injured and outmatched, Raghav retreated again—but not before leaving one final threat:

"This ends soon. Either she comes with us… or everything burns."

Silence fell.

Ariya's body trembled as the adrenaline faded. The danger was gone—for now—but something had changed. This wasn't just about control anymore. This was war.

Arnav turned to her quickly. "Are you hurt?"

Ariya shook her head, but before she could say anything, her emotions broke through. She stepped forward and held onto him tightly.

"I was so scared…" she whispered.

Arnav wrapped his arms around her without hesitation, holding her close, protective as ever. "You were brave," he said softly. "You didn't freeze. You fought back. I'm proud of you."

Ariya looked up at him, her eyes filled with emotion—not just fear, but something deeper.

"I'm not just fighting for myself anymore," she said quietly. "I'm fighting for… us."

Arnav's expression softened in a way she had never seen before. His hand gently lifted her chin.

"And I'll fight for you," he said. "Always."

In that moment, amidst the broken glass, the fading danger, and the rising storm ahead…

Ariya realized something undeniable:

This wasn't just survival anymore. This was love, growing in the middle of chaos.
