Chapter 10 - Episode 10 – Night of Danger

The mansion was unusually quiet that night, but Ariya Verma's heart thumped like a drum. She couldn't shake the warning message: "They're coming for you—tonight."

Arnav Malhotra paced the control room, monitoring the cameras with intense focus. "Stay inside, Ariya. Do not come out," he instructed, his voice sharp but steady.

Ariya nodded, though fear twisted in her chest. She wanted to hide, but a strange part of her wanted to stand close to Arnav, to feel his strength, his presence.

Hours later, a sudden crash shook the perimeter. Lights flickered. Shadows moved aggressively near the mansion gates. Arnav's eyes narrowed, and he moved like a predator. "Now," he said, and Ariya instinctively followed, staying a safe step behind him.

Vikram and Meena emerged, desperate and dangerous. "Give her back!" Vikram shouted, lunging toward Ariya.

Arnav was faster—blocking the attack instantly, pulling Ariya behind him. His movements were precise, lethal, and protective. Every time one of them tried to get closer, he intervened with calm authority and unyielding strength.

Ariya watched him, heart racing—not just from fear, but from awe and something deeper. His dedication, his power, and his calm presence stirred feelings inside her she hadn't allowed herself to feel before.

When the fight ended, Vikram and Meena were forced to retreat, bruised and furious, but unable to harm Ariya. Arnav finally turned to her, his chest heaving slightly from the adrenaline.

"You're safe," he said, voice softer now, almost intimate. "I won't let anyone touch you. Ever."

Ariya's hands shook, not from fear alone. She stepped closer to him, her eyes meeting his. "I… I don't know what I would do without you," she whispered.

Arnav's gaze softened, lingering on her face. "You don't have to imagine that," he said gently. "Because I'm not going anywhere. Not now, not ever."

For the first time, Ariya allowed herself to lean on him completely, feeling the warmth of his embrace, the strength of his protection, and the quiet stirrings of her heart. The danger had passed… for now. But she knew one thing clearly: Arnav Malhotra wasn't just her guardian—he was the man she could trust with her life, and perhaps, one day, with her heart.
