It's been six years since I was reincarnated into this world and not too long ago I turned six when I looked into a mirror I noticed my appearance wasn't that different from my previous one. My face structure was the same the only difference was the colour of my hair and Iris in my eyes, in my previous life both my hair and Iris were black but now they had both changed my hair was Midnight blue resembling my parents and in my eyes my Iris were lime green with black pupils.
' Why is it like that'
I thought to myself but who cares i look handsome if I do say so myself but anyway
'I've been looking around the house for any books containing any secrets on how to use magic but so far, I've found nothing'
'When I asked my parents they said'
" You want to learn how to use magic " in a surprised tone
" Yes is that wrong?"
"No i am happy there is something you want to pursue Michael" replied the mother
"But you see commoners like us aren't very good at using magic because of our low mana capacity in fact most commoners can't even use it"
"But mother i saw you use it every time dad got hurt "
"That's because of my light attribute, you see when people with the light attribute turn eight they are sent to a church to learn how to heal so that they can have a comfortable life and protect themselves or family. So you see it was just because of my attribute that I could use magic"
"So how do we check my attribute"
" I don't know about the other attributes but if you had the light attribute It would have manifested by now but since it hasn't i don't think you can use magic but don't give up"
"Don't worry my boy" said my father
"Once you turn fifteen I'll teach you how to hunt so forget about magic"
"Darling don't say it like that"
"What i am just being honest "
'And that's how the conversation went even though mom said I couldn't i just feel like I could if I knew how to'
As I was in deep thought my mother called me
"Michael it's time for lunch"
As I was going down the stairs after leaving my room i noticed my father was going somewhere so I asked him
"Dad, where are you going ?"
" To town I am going to buy a few things we need I'll be back soon so don't worry "
"Can I please go with you please I'm begging you"
" I'm not sure about that it's not safe you know and you are still too young"
" Come on dad please "
"Come on darling it would be a good experience for him to see new places" said my mom
"Fine first finish your lunch then go and change your clothes then we'll go"
"Thanks dad" I said in an exciting tone
' I won't miss this chance a town has gotta have a bunch of stores with books on how to use magic right'
We finally arrived in town, we came here by carriage it was times like this that reminded me I was in a different world. The town had a lot of people with a fountain in the middle, It was a beautiful view
"Okay Michael, I am going to buy what I need you wait here okay"
"Okay dad "
As soon as my dad left I didn't waste time i started looking for stores with books on how to use magic and I found one my first impression of the shop was was...
'Why are the books here so expensive just one of them costs 5 gold and all i have are 3 silvers'
"Hey you brat, What does a commoner like you want in my shop"
"I'm sorry sir I wanted to read some of these books or purchase some of them if I could but they are really expensive"
"What do you expect these books are for nobility a commoner such as yourself could never afford them so get out"
"Can I at least read them"
"What would be the point you can't use magic now get out!!!"
As I was kicked out all i could think was how rude that guy was but then I suddenly heard something it came from the back of his store so I took a look
'What his throwing away some of the books why?' As I was asking this question to myself he answered my question
"Honestly if commoners are starting to think they can afford books from my shop maybe I should increase the price but anyway these books are now useless maybe I should have gave that young boy but if people saw him coming out of my shop with them it would damage my stores reputation i mean did you see his clothes, filthy commoner"
The minute he left all i could say was
'That bastard is pissing me of, I got these clothes as a present from my parents you spoiled piece of shit'
'Wait why do I feel like my personality has changed a bit the old me would never have said that or was i always like this'
'Well nevermind'
'I need to calm down this is a good opportunity since he doesn't need them anymore I'll be happy to take them from him. He was planning to give me anyway so it doesn't count as stealing right'
With that i covered the books with a black plastic so that no one would noticed and took them back with me
"Michael I'm done are you ready to go back home"
"Yep" I replied
"You seem to be in a good mood by the way what's in the plastic "
" It's a book you know the ones with prince and princesses I found it near the trash so I took it, I felt like it was a waste just leaving it there"
"That's true anyway you ready"
And with that we made it back home
"Dear, we're back "
"How was your trip "
"Good I got everything i needed "
"How about you Michael did you enjoy your time there?"
"I did by the way can I skip dinner there is something important I need to do"
"What is it ?"
"It's that book he found i guess he can't wait to read it" answered my dad
"So can I go and read it now i can't wait any longer "
"Sure you can go I'll leave your food on the table if you do get hungry "
"Thanks mom"

So to summarize everything I've read.In order to use magic the first step is to learn how feel mana. To be able to do that i need to put myself in a state of mental calmness in other words meditation, if one is truly meant to feel it, they will be able to see the mana from the surrounding area .

As I said this i took a few deep breaths, I was a bit nervous because of what my mother said but this was no time to worry about such things. So I closed my eyes and focused on myself it was so quiet all i could hear was the sound of my breathing and my heart beat
'My body feels really warm and lighter so I think am doing it right'
As soon as I opened my eyes I was amazed by what I was seeing, everything around me shined with a blue light there was only one way to describe it.
'Beautiful!'
'Not only that but I feel like my senses have drastically improved. I can even hear what my parents are saying from all the way up here not only that but there's something weird leaking out of my body'
'Ohh, I see it's mana'
'Puahahaha'
I couldn't help laughing at my success, I knew I could do it but I was a bit anxious but now I was brimming with confidence.
'I finally feel like am getting somewhere'
