The wind blew softly at first, it didn't need any attention until the citizens noticed the rain drizzled lightly. Still no one thought of anything severe, the thunder struck hard and that caused the villagers to seek shelter, they knew the volcano stood nearer by the far right and that could cause more than havoc.
A heavy rain began pouring down on them as they entered their homes in the darkness and the fire broke out from the volcano top. They panicked a bit knowing this could lead to a sudden rise in either an earthquake, a tsunami or a brief hurricane.
The earth shook. The vibration caused a major fear in the hearts of the villagers at the east end of the city. They ran to and fro through the free paths open for passage. The sleeping twin dragons were now awaken, so they thought.
The village felt the terror immediately the volcano eruption began, children, men and women ran for shelter. The screams of the villagers filled the air, some ran through the fields and others through the houses.
The volcano erupted in the air and the lava bursted into liquid pieces flying across the air and a more dripping down the volcano's outer layer. They knew this wasn't a mild eruption but a major warning to finally evacuate the village for good. Chen Feng stared at the sky surprised at the volcano eruption.
He ran into his room. He scattered his items across the table, he had a little amulet he always used for occasions like this. He picked up the bottle of the native gin, he took out the amulet and poured the gin into it. He closed the amulet, he gave it a few shakes. He waited for a while until he noticed the water turned light blue.
He poured the water on the ground. The earthquake increased, he fell to the ground. He laid on the ground and so did the others. Suddenly the earthquake stopped. The skies cleared up revealing the moon above and the volcano stopped producing the heated and devouring lava.
Everyone turned to stare at him, they wondered about him. How did he know that? How did he know what to do? Where did he get that knowledge from and where did he get the liquid from? They watched him closely. He smiled at the end of the eruption.
He walked into his hut in the midst of the eyes staring at his face. He shut the door, he dropped the native gin on the table. He wore the amulet over his neck, he took his bag off the shelf. He had a trip to embark on.
He stepped out of the house. He had three aims, and that had to be to recover the blue flame sword from the depth of the volcano. The second had to be to the first to claim the blue flame mountain to meet the twin dragons and the third had to be to stand alone against the twelve fold army of the Hunyuan shield.
He walked through the bushes, he reached the stallion, he took a horse off heading towards the location of the volcano but stopped at the sight do lava at the grounds.
"Chen?"
He turned to stare at the person calling out to him. He smiled at the woman he stared at. "Mo?"
Mo walked closer to him. "Chen? Where are you going this time?"
"Mo you know. I need to get that sword back. I need to meet with the dragons and then the battle."
Mo asked, "Why do you always talk about this? It's a twelve fold army, do you understand what you are getting into?"
"Yes I do." He placed his hands on her waist.
"Yes? For what? A twelve fold army? Do you know what a twelve fold army is?"
"Of course. I do. It's an army of twelve thousand men against me as one man."
"And you think you are fit for the army of twelve thousand men. A while city's army?"
"Mo if these men within this city weren't chickens. We would have conquered them by now." Chen said.
"What? Who's the chicken? How are the men chickens? You fool." Kai asked from behind them. Chen stared at him with a straight face.
"Kai? What do you want?"
"Maybe to tell you goodbye or possibly change your freaking mind about your supposed suicidal mission you are on at the moment?"
"Really Kai? You think you'll be able to change my mind?"
"Of course. I can change a mad man's mind. Who can't change a mad man's mind. Except he's dead or a goat and a mad man at the same time." Chen threw a stick at him but Kai dodged it.
Chen ran after Kai severely and when he caught him. He held his throat tight. Kai choked a little, he let out a laugh at Chen. "Calm down. I'm joking. You know it's a joke. Stop it before you kill me."
"I surely will." He removed his hands. Mo laughed at Kai.
Kai held the tree he leaned on for support, "Mo are you laughing? Maybe I should start with you too?"
"Shut up! Kai!" He yelled back.
Mo laughed harder. "Chen! Let him go. He's just a chicken. Leave him."
She walked closer to them. "Chen I'll accompany you there. Let's go."
Chen replied, "No don't. I'll need you here. It's a deadly journey."
Kai said, "And you are? Aren't you already a dead man? One man against twelve armies and then another mission to get a sword from the bottom of an unpredictable volcano. After that, another stage to talk with the twin dragon? Tell me more."
"Kai it sounds dumb but it's not. That's the only way we can turn this night to day. Look at the skies, we can't even tell when it's night or day? We can only see eruptions and storms. It's a curse and I need to break it."
"Break it? With what? The opposition seems heavy. Anyway since Mo's coming then I'm coming along with you too. You'll need a sword man around. Mo can handle the arrows and the knives." Kai said.
