Chapter 16 - Domain expansion

The next morning, Aiden woke up to an empty dorm room. He stretched lazily, yawning as he got out of bed. As he was heading to the bathroom for a shower, there was a sudden knock at his door.

The door creaked open without waiting for an invitation. Maki stepped inside, her expression serious and unreadable. She was followed closely by Megumi, who looked curious. Nobara peeked her head around the doorway, seeming more excited than serious. Junpei was nowhere to be seen.

"Hey guys, what's wrong?"

"We need to talk," Maki said bluntly, closing the door behind her. She stood with her arms crossed, awaiting his full attention. Megumi leaned against the wall, his eyes fixed on Aiden with a slight hint of admiration. Nobara just smiled, bouncing slightly on her toes.

"We need to talk about your behavior yesterday," Maki started, her tone sharp and disapproving. "Specifically, your decision to intercept and handle the cursed object without consulting anyone first."

Megumi rubbed his jaw. "You also made decisions for Junpei's mother... without reporting back immediately. That's not standard protocol."

Nobara chimed in, grinning.

"But you also saved her life," Nobara added, still bouncing slightly. "The higher-ups got it."

Maki ignored her. "The point is, Aiden, your actions are... unusual." She crossed her arms again. "You move without permission, act without consulting anyone, and handle things yourself. This is why you're always so... odd."

"Because of my half cursed spirit nature I could since when something bad was going to happen to one of the people closest to me so that's why I had to leave." He said, though, that of course was a lie, but they didn't need to know that.

Megumi's eyes narrowed slightly at Aiden's explanation, but he didn't press further. Maki, however, seemed to accept it without question, her expression softening marginally. Nobara just nodded eagerly, buying the lie hook, line, and sinker.

"anyways, I'm going to be working on something. I've always wanted to try but wasn't sure how it would work. Talk to you later. " He said flash-stepping to the Training ground.

The three exchanged confused glances as Aiden disappeared in a flash. "Since when does he just... leave like that?" Nobara huffed.

Maki frowned, crossing her arms. "Half cursed spirit nature... explains the intuition." She seemed satisfied with that explanation. "But what could he be working on?"

Megumi looked thoughtful.

Aidan stood on the training, ground preparing. He put his hands in the correct hand signs and spoke the words. " Domain expansion: ever changing wheel." his domain expansion is a mixture of his five techniques a massive wheel materializes inside the domain otherwise it's completely black he can choose which technique to pour inside of it and he can switch them out anytime he wants.

The massive wheel materialized within the pitch-black domain, its spokes glowing with an otherworldly light. The air hummed with cursed energy as the Ever-Changing Wheel spun slowly, awaiting Aiden's command.

The technique inside was versatile—a combination of his five powers. But the wheel needed a test subject.

Aiden stood alone in his domain, his hands hovering over the wheel.

He summoned his curse spirit that he tamed The Special grade curse finger bear.

Finger Bear materialized at the edge of the wheel, dropping into a graceful crouch. Her multiple eyes blinked lazily around her face, long hair cascading down her exposed shoulders. The cursed energy clinging to her frame was intense, yet under control.

"Master~" she cooed sweetly, bouncing slightly in place, her large chest jiggling with the movement.

"Hello bearer hold still why I test this." He activated the star, rage technique, and gravity automatically increased for his opponent, making her automatically fall to the ground.

Finger Bear let out a surprised yelp as gravity crushed her into the dirt. Her petite form flattened against the ground, unable to move as Star Rage took full effect within the domain.

"Master, too heavy~!" she whined, struggling pathetically beneath the pressure.

The wheel glowed brighter, shifting to accommodate the Star Rage technique.

he stopped it haven't seen what he wanted he could activate the technique and the domain amplify it As before, he could only do it on himself or things he was touching.

Aiden deactivated Star Rage, and the crushing gravity immediately vanished. Finger Bear breathed a sigh of relief, her multiple eyes blinking rapidly as she pushed herself up from the ground. She rubbed her sore backend, pouting slightly. "Master meanie~"

"Hold up while I test something." he get close activating the reverse curse technique to trigger reversal on star wage instead of applying mass it's taking mass away he touched her to see what would happen.

"Hold up while I test something." he get close activating the reverse curse technique to trigger reversal on star rage As Aiden's hand made contact, the Reverse Curse Technique activated, causing Star Rage's effects to reverse. Instead of increasing gravity, it began to decrease significantly within the domain. Finger Bear's eyes widened in confusion as she felt her body growing lighter, almost weightless. "Master..."

Finger Bear's petite form began to float off the ground, her large breasts bobbing gently as she hovered effortlessly. The Reverse Curse Technique had completely negated the gravity within the domain, making her weightless. She let out a surprised giggle, kicking her legs playfully in mid-air.

Aiden nodded thoughtfully, realizing the potential uses for the reversed Star Rage within his domain and outside it. He could use it to fly or increase the speed of his attacks, bypassing air resistance entirely. The domain expansion was proving to be incredibly versatile, allowing him to test and combine his techniques in unique ways.

Finger Bear dissolved into a stream of dark energy, flowing smoothly back into Aiden's body. The domain collapsed instantly, leaving the training ground empty and silent once more. Aiden stood alone, his mind racing with new ideas and strategies. The test had been a success—his domain could amplify and reverse his techniques in unique ways.

"I wonder what the reverse curse technique would do for the 10 shadow technique." He thought aloud

Aiden's curiosity piqued, he decided to test the Reverse Curse Technique on his 10 Shadow Technique. He focused his cursed energy, summoning the shadowy tendrils that made up his signature attack. As he activated the Reverse Curse Technique, something unexpected happened.

Instead of shadow, it was A powerful beam of light came out, disintegrating a training, dummy.

The powerful beam of light obliterated the training dummy completely, disintegrating it into nothingness. Aiden stared in shock at the result, realizing the Reverse Curse Technique had turned his 10 Shadow Technique into a devastating light-based attack. This was an unprecedented combination.

"Holy shit..."

The dummy was completely gone, leaving nothing but scorched earth in its place. Aiden stared at the empty space, frozen in disbelief. The Reverse Curse Technique had inverted the very nature of his 10 Shadow Technique—from shadow to light, from darkness to devastating beam.

The potential was terrifying. He could use this offensively—as a devastating beam of light that disintegrated anything it touched.

Over the next weeks, Aiden trained relentlessly, pushing his body and cursed energy to their limits. He practiced flying and increasing his attack speed with the reversed Star Rage, and mastering the light-based beam attack from the inverted 10 Shadow Technique. His progress was swift and impressive.
