Chapter 27 - Chapter 27: A Place That Feels Like Home

Jay's pov

Saturday felt… different.

Not like the other days.

Not chaotic like before.

Not quiet like yesterday.

Just… balanced.

I woke up before him again.

But this time, I didn't overthink.

I didn't question why I was still here.

I didn't try to move away.

I just stayed.

His arm was still around me, like it naturally belonged there now, and for once, I didn't feel like escaping it. I turned my head slightly and looked at him.

Still asleep.

Still calm.

Still… him.

"…You sleep too much," I murmured softly.

"No, I don't."

I froze.

His eyes opened slowly.

"You talk too much," he added.

"I thought you were asleep."

"I was. Then you started complaining."

I rolled my eyes slightly, trying to move away, but his arm tightened just a little.

"Where are you going?" he asked.

"Nowhere."

"Then stay."

I didn't argue.

The house wasn't empty anymore.

Two boys sat on the couch, controllers in hand, completely focused on the screen.

"NO—NO—NO—YOU CHEATED—"

"I DID NOT CHEAT, YOU'RE JUST BAD—"

I paused near the door.

"…What are they doing?"

Keifer walked in behind me.

"Almost fighting."

Oh.

"That's Keiren," he pointed, "and that's Keigan."

Keiren turned first.

I blinked.

"I know…Hi."

He smiled.

Friendly.

Easy.

"Finally," he said, "someone normal in this house."

"Excuse me?" Keifer said.

"You heard me."

I almost smiled.

Then—

Keigan looked up.

And didn't smile.

Just looked at me.

Quiet.

Observing.

"…Hi," I said again.

He didn't reply immediately.

Then—

"Hmm."

That was it.

I looked at Keifer.

He sighed slightly.

"Don't mind him."

"I don't," I said.

But I noticed.

Within minutes, I was sitting with them.

Not playing.

Just watching.

"Press that—NO THAT ONE—ARE YOU BLIND?" Keiren shouted.

"I KNOW WHAT I'M DOING," Keifer replied.

"You clearly don't."

I laughed slightly.

"You play?" Keiren asked me.

"Sometimes."

"Come, take this," he handed me the controller.

"I'll lose."

"Exactly, it'll be fun."

Keifer leaned back.

"She's competitive."

"I am not."

"Liar."

I glared at him.

"…Give me the controller."

And just like that—

I joined.

Five minutes later—

"HOW DID YOU WIN—"

"I told you," Keifer smirked.

"I HATE THIS GAME," Keiren said dramatically.

"You lost," Keigan added calmly.

"You're not helping."

I laughed.

And somewhere in between—

I forgot to feel like an outsider.

After the chaos, I moved to the kitchen.

"What are you doing?" Keifer asked.

"Something useful," I replied.

"You calling me useless?"

"Yes."

He leaned against the counter, watching me.

"Making cookies?" he asked.

"Don't distract me."

"I'm not distracting. I'm observing."

"You're annoying."

"I know."

I tried not to smile.

After some time, Keiren walked in.

"Smells good," he said.

"It's just cookies."

"That's enough to impress me."

I laughed slightly.

"Then your standards are low."

"Very low," he replied proudly.

Keigan walked in too.

Didn't say anything.

Just stood there.

Watching.

I handed him a plate.

"…Try."

He hesitated.

Then took one.

A bite.

Silence.

Then—

"…It's good."

That was it.

But it was something.

Keifer's pov

I was watching them.

Not the game.

Not the TV.

Them.

Jay standing in the kitchen, talking casually, smiling without thinking, moving around like she belonged here.

Keiren laughing with her like they've known each other forever.

Even Keigan—

Not talking much.

But not ignoring her either.

And for a second—

It felt like something else.

Something… stable.

Like a normal house.

Like a family.

I didn't say it.

But I felt it.

" Ate, can we watch movie?" Keiren asked.

" Of course" I answered.

" Sure" keifer replied.

" Who asked you" keiren said.

By evening, everything slowed down.

Lights dim.

Snacks everywhere.

Blankets thrown around.

"What are we watching?" Keiren asked.

"Something good," I said.

"Not your boring choices."

"Excuse me—"

Jay sat beside me.

Close.

Not too close.

But enough.

Movie started.

Ten minutes in—

No one was watching properly.

Keiren kept commenting.

"Why is he running like that?"

"Because it's a horror movie," Jay replied.

"That doesn't justify bad running."

I leaned slightly towards Jay.

"Focus," she whispered.

"I am focused."

"On what?"

I didn't answer.

Instead—

I leaned in.

Quick.

Soft.

A small kiss.

She froze.

Then looked at me.

"…Really?"

"What?"

"During a movie?"

"Best time."

She rolled her eyes.

But didn't move away.

Few minutes later—

I did it again.

"Keifer—"

"Shh, important scene."

"You're not even watching."

"I am watching you."

She tried not to smile.

Failed.

I kissed her every fifteen minutes.

Everyone went to their rooms slowly.

Keiren stretched. "Good day."

"Very," I said.

Keigan didn't say anything.

But before leaving, he looked at Jay.

"…Goodnight."

She smiled slightly.

"Goodnight."

Small.

But real.

Back in the room.

Silence again.

But not heavy.

Not confusing.

Comfortable.

"You did well today," I said.

"With what?"

"Everything."

She looked at me.

"…I was just being normal."

"That's rare here."

She laughed softly.

I stepped closer.

"Stay," I said quietly.

"I am staying."

"No," I said, "like this."

Closer.

She didn't step back.

And for a moment—

We just stood there.

Not rushing.

Just…

Choosing to stay.

Then she went to change and came only in her garments.

She thinks that I can't do anything but she doesn't know that I am also Mark Keifer Watson.

I pulled her to my lap and she gasped.

" Keifer it will hurt you"

" You are light I can manage"

" No you cannot manage"

" I can manage with this and all the other things"

She blushed and was a whole strawberry.

My hands went inside her panties and rubbed her clit which was already wet.

She stood up and went to the bed.

" Help me first then sleep"

" What do you want now?"

" Change my clothes"

" You can do it"

" No, it's hurting pls help"

She sighed and changed it while blushing.

Then we cuddled and slept.
