Chapter 5 - Episode 5: “Jealousy Has Entered the Mansion”

The rules inside Rudra Rathore's mansion had always been simple.

No one disobeyed.

No one questioned.

No one stayed longer than he allowed.

But now…

everything was breaking.

Aanya Verma was no longer just a servant moving quietly in the background.

She was being watched.

By Rudra.

And by Riya.

And she could feel it every second of her life.

That morning, Aanya entered the dining hall carrying tea.

Riya was already sitting there.

Too comfortable. Too calm.

Like she owned the place.

Rudra entered a few seconds later.

And the entire room changed.

Silence fell instantly.

Even breathing felt controlled.

Riya smiled as he sat down.

"You always wake up early," she said casually.

Rudra didn't respond immediately.

His eyes briefly moved—

to Aanya.

Just for a moment.

But Riya noticed it.

And so did Aanya.

Aanya quickly placed the tea on the table and stepped back.

But Rudra spoke.

"Stay."

Aanya froze.

Riya's smile slowly faded.

Aanya looked up nervously. "Sir?"

Rudra's voice was calm.

"You always leave too fast."

Silence.

That one sentence… changed the entire room.

Riya leaned forward slightly.

"That's unusual," she said softly. "You don't usually care who stays or leaves."

Rudra finally looked at her.

Cold.

Controlled.

"Don't assume things."

But his eyes shifted again.

To Aanya.

And that was enough.

Riya's smile disappeared completely now.

For the first time…

she wasn't amused.

She was alert.

Later that day…

Aanya was cleaning the corridor when Riya pulled her aside.

Her grip was tight.

Too tight.

"Aanya," Riya said quietly, "tell me the truth."

Aanya frowned. "What truth?"

Riya's eyes darkened.

"You and Rudra… what is happening between you?"

Aanya stepped back immediately.

"Nothing!"

But Riya didn't believe her.

Because she had seen it.

The way he looked at her sister.

The way he stopped her from leaving.

The way silence changed when Aanya was near him.

Riya smiled faintly.

"You're lying badly."

Aanya shook her head. "You're imagining things."

Riya leaned closer.

"No, Aanya."

Her voice dropped lower.

"I am observing them."

That night…

Rudra called Aanya again.

But this time, the air in the room felt heavier.

Like something was about to break.

"You are distracted," Rudra said without looking at her.

Aanya lowered her head. "I'm not, sir."

He turned slowly.

Step by step.

Until he stood in front of her.

Too close again.

"Then why," he asked quietly, "do you keep looking over your shoulder?"

Aanya froze.

Because she knew the answer.

Riya.

But she didn't say it.

She couldn't.

Rudra stepped closer.

And this time, his voice dropped even lower.

"If someone is disturbing your mind," he said, "tell me."

Aanya looked up slowly.

Their eyes met.

And something inside her tightened.

Because this wasn't anger.

This wasn't control.

This… felt like protection.

Dangerous protection.

Before she could respond—

A knock came at the door.

Riya's voice outside.

"Rudra… can I come in?"

Aanya stepped back instantly.

Rudra didn't move.

But his eyes changed.

Slightly darker now.

Because now…

the game was no longer hidden.

It was inside his room.
