Chapter 3 - Episode 3: “Blackmail Begins in the House of a Gangster”

The mansion felt colder than usual that morning.

Not because of the weather…

But because something new had entered Rudra Rathore's world.

Riya Verma.

A stranger who smiled too easily… in a place where people forgot how to breathe.

Aanya couldn't focus on her work.

Her mind kept replaying last night.

Riya standing there.

Rudra looking at her.

That silent tension between them… like a spark near gasoline.

Inside Rudra's private office—

The door closed with a heavy sound.

Riya stood inside without fear.

Rudra sat in his chair, calm… unreadable.

"You have no fear," he said slowly.

Riya smiled.

"Fear is for people who have something to lose."

A pause.

Rudra's eyes narrowed slightly.

"That's a dangerous mindset."

Riya leaned forward slightly.

"I know dangerous men… I'm not afraid of them."

Silence.

Heavy.

Measuring.

Outside the room, Aanya waited nervously.

Something felt wrong.

Too wrong.

Later that night…

Aanya was called to the back corridor.

Riya was already waiting.

But this time… her expression was different.

Cold.

Controlled.

"Do you know what kind of man Rudra Rathore is?" she asked.

Aanya frowned. "Why are you asking me this again?"

Riya stepped closer.

"I met someone today… powerful people don't scare me."

Aanya's heart tightened.

"Riya, please… just leave this place."

But Riya smiled faintly.

"I won't."

Then her voice dropped.

"I need him."

Aanya froze.

"What…?"

Riya pulled out her phone.

A picture appeared.

It was Aanya… talking to Rudra.

Taken secretly.

Aanya's breath stopped.

"W-what is this?"

Riya's smile disappeared.

"This is my insurance."

Aanya stepped back. "Riya… why are you doing this?"

Riya's eyes sharpened.

"Because you are nothing here, Aanya."

A pause.

"And I can become everything… if I stay close to him."

At that exact moment—

Footsteps echoed.

Slow.

Heavy.

Controlled.

Rudra Rathore stood at the end of the corridor.

He had heard everything.

Or at least enough.

His eyes moved from Riya…

to Aanya…

to the phone in Riya's hand.

Silence fell instantly.

Even the air felt afraid.

Rudra walked closer.

One step.

Then another.

Until he stopped in front of Riya.

"You like collecting information," he said coldly.

Riya didn't move.

"I like understanding powerful people."

Rudra tilted his head slightly.

"Wrong hobby."

Then his gaze shifted to Aanya.

Just for a moment.

But that moment changed everything.

Because Aanya saw it.

Something inside him had changed.

Not anger.

Not interest.

Something deeper.

Something heavier.

Rudra's voice dropped lower.

"Delete it."

Riya smiled faintly.

"And if I don't?"

A dangerous silence.

Rudra's expression darkened.

"No one disobeys in my house twice."

Aanya's heart pounded.

She stepped forward quickly.

"Sir… please, she is my sister—"

Rudra raised his hand slightly.

Not touching her.

But stopping her.

And somehow… that was enough.

Aanya went silent immediately.

Rudra looked at Riya again.

For the first time…

there was warning in his eyes.

Not just power.

Control.

Danger.

"And you," he said slowly, "don't mistake my silence for permission."

Riya held his gaze.

And smiled.

Because unlike others…

she wasn't stepping back.

She was stepping closer.

And in that moment…

Aanya realized something terrifying.

Riya didn't come here for money.

Or safety.

Or power.

She came for Rudra Rathore himself.

And now…

the war inside his world had officially begun.
