Vael's POV
It was now ten months since the babies were born.
Dasien, Valiera, and Lirael were growing so fast it almost scared me. Every morning they woke up a little stronger, a little louder, and a little more curious about the world. They crawled everywhere now—across the living room floor, under the low tables, and straight into our arms the second they saw us. Their laughter filled the whole house. Sometimes they tried to say small words. "Da," "Li," and soft little sounds that made Lirien's eyes shine with pure joy.
Watching them every day made my chest feel full. Lirien was a wonderful parent. He was patient and gentle, always knowing the exact way to calm them when they got fussy. Davis and I helped as much as we could—feeding, changing, carrying them around the house, and singing silly songs just to hear them giggle. Our home was never quiet, but it was full of soft baby sounds, warm laughter, and so much love that it sometimes overwhelmed me in the best way.
