Chapter 1 - chapter 1: THE BLOOD MOON AWAKENS

The night was not ordinary.

Even the wind knew it.

It howled through the ancient forest like a warning, brushing violently against towering trees whose roots had drunk centuries of blood. The sky was painted in an unnatural shade of crimson, the full moon glowing like a cursed eye watching over the world.

This was the Blood Moon.

And under it… destinies were rewritten.

Emmanuel ran.

His breath tore through his lungs as branches clawed at his skin. Blood trailed down his arm, but he didn't stop. He couldn't.

Not tonight.

Not when they were hunting him.

A deep growl echoed behind him.

Not human.

Never human.

"They found me…" he muttered, panic tightening his chest.

He pushed harder, his legs burning as he leapt over a fallen log. His heart pounded wildly—not just from fear, but from something else.

Something… changing.

Emmanuel had always known he was different.

Since childhood, strange things followed him.

He healed too fast.

He was stronger than he should be.

And sometimes… he heard voices in the wind.

But tonight?

Tonight, it all felt like it was about to explode.

Another growl.

Closer now.

Too close.

He stopped abruptly, turning around just as a massive creature stepped out from the shadows.

A wolf.

No…

Not just a wolf.

This creature was enormous—easily twice the size of any normal wolf. Its fur was midnight black, its eyes glowing gold with intelligence… and hunger.

Behind it, more emerged.

Three.

Five.

Ten.

They surrounded him slowly.

Predators.

Kings of the night.

And he?

Prey.

"End of the line, boy," a voice said.

Emmanuel's eyes widened.

One of the wolves stepped forward… and shifted.

Bones cracked.

Fur receded.

And in seconds, a tall, muscular man stood before him, naked but unashamed, his golden eyes still glowing.

A werewolf.

"You've been running for years," the man said coldly. "But fate always catches up."

Emmanuel clenched his fists. "What do you want from me?"

The man smirked.

"You."

A pause.

"Or more specifically… what's inside you."

Something inside Emmanuel stirred violently.

A sharp pain shot through his chest, forcing him to his knees.

"Arghh!"

His scream echoed through the forest.

The wolves watched… but didn't attack.

They were waiting.

"Do you feel it?" the man asked softly, almost amused. "The power waking up?"

Emmanuel's vision blurred.

His veins burned.

His bones… cracked.

"What… is happening to me…?" he gasped.

The man crouched in front of him, gripping his chin.

"You were never human, Emmanuel."

A sinister smile spread across his face.

"You are something far more dangerous."

The moonlight intensified.

And then—

It happened.

Emmanuel's body convulsed violently.

His scream turned into a roar.

Bones snapped and reshaped.

Muscles expanded.

Claws burst through his fingers.

His eyes glowed—

Not gold.

Not blue.

But deep, terrifying crimson.

The wolves stepped back.

Fear flashed across their faces.

Even the man's expression changed.

"…Impossible," he whispered.

Standing before them now…

Was not a boy.

Not even a normal werewolf.

Emmanuel rose slowly, his towering form radiating raw, uncontrollable power.

His fur was darker than night itself.

His aura… suffocating.

Ancient.

Dominant.

Absolute.

The forest went silent.

Even the wind stopped.

"What… are you?" one of the wolves whispered.

Emmanuel lifted his head.

His glowing crimson eyes locked onto them.

And when he spoke—

His voice was no longer human.

"I… am… your end."

In a blur, he moved.

Too fast.

Too deadly.

The first wolf didn't even scream before its head was torn off.

Blood sprayed across the forest floor.

Chaos erupted.

"ATTACK HIM!" the man roared.

But deep down…

He already knew.

They had made a mistake.

A fatal one.

Because what stood before them…

Was not just a werewolf.

It was something older.

Something feared.

Something whispered about only in legends.

The Alpha of Alphas.

Far away…

In a quiet village…

A girl suddenly woke up.

Her heart raced violently.

Her body trembled.

Her eyes filled with tears for no reason she could understand.

Fiyinfoluwa.

She clutched her chest.

"Why… do I feel like something terrible has begun…?"

A soft wind entered her room.

Carrying a whisper.
