Josh sat there, looking at himself; a large black fade circle hung under his eyes. It's been nearly two weeks since he last slept. Mary walked in and tried to fake a smile. He leaned in for a kiss before she blocked him. "Joshua, you need to rest." He waved her away. "I will sleep when I catch the stalker," she grabbed his head, saying, "You will be able to catch this stalker once you are fully energized. Now go to bed!" He tried to pull away, looking at his phone. It was only a couple of hours before sunrise. She dragged him from the bathroom into the bedroom, tossing him on the bed. "Go to sleep Joshua, you can save the day when you wake up… or whatever you want to do."He sighed, saying, "Am… am not sleeeeeply." He yawned before trying to fight it, and he closed his eyes, mumbling to himself. She kissed his forehead, lying right next to him, going back to sleep. Josh's eyes felt heavy, hearing his gentle alarm clock blare in his ear, turning it off, rolling over, not seeing his wife, stretching his arm and body, then washing his face and brushing his teeth. Putting on his clothes, walking through the house, and making sure his kids were not trying to skip school. Going down, he saw a note on a fridge door.
Hello, love. If you see this note, it means we have already left the house for work and school. I know you need your sleep and didn't wake you up. I am going to be able to pick up the kids from school. So, a reminder: drink a ton of water, and get enough sleep, my love. Love you, Mary XOXOXOXOXOOXOXOXOOXOXO.
He crumbled the note down in the trash can, putting on his shoes. He went to the bathroom as the voice of the stalker, the soldier from Italy, echoed in his mind their words to him. He dug his nails into the sink, causing it to chip and break. He started to breathe quickly, his eyes darting around. A voice rang through his mind, his dad saying, "You were less than your brother." He yelled, "No I'm not!" His mom's now-colder voice came from "You always try to ruin everything you touch, Joshua." He yelled in anger, "Who do they think they are?!HUMANS! I'm their creator! I gave them life and a home! And they just spit back in my face!" The universe began to shake, "I'm more powerful than anyone! I'm the superior brother! I AM. Divinity!" He yelled out a shockwave coming out the window, erupting the whole neighborhood as wind picked up outside, blowing harder than every lightning boom with thunder around the globe, around the universal storm picked up, and volcanoes erupted. Josh cried out before as his eyes glowed bright white, lighting, water, and fire came from his body, and he fell to the ground, crying out. Then it stopped, the wind went down the clouds part, and he fell to the ground, panting with every breath, sweat poured from his face and body. He got up, looking into the mirror, seeing himself almost two hundred years ago. He had a full beard, he was covered in blood, he was wearing a long black cape that was torn, and an army plate metal dean and battler. He snapped his finger, fixing the bathroom while walking downstairs. His expression was dull and lifeless. He heard his father's voice, "Remember kids everyone in your galaxy is yours to keep safe no matter what. They are yours." He repeated his father's words of hate and a superior tone in his voice, "They are yours." He walked out of the house, seeing his friends in the driveway. Carlos smiled, Josh sighed, "We are ready."They all nodded their heads as they went inside his car. They looked at him. Josh noticed the wind-blown atmosphere and looked at everything around the leaves and sticks. Their hair was fine; he wasn't sure if they would fix it before he left, but he didn't care enough. He said, "Everything is fine, guys, I was just mad at myself, let's go." Robert said "I'm going to stay behind to fix some of the damage." They all got in the car as the group gave a look to each other. Nimual whispered something in Ade's ear. Josh could have heard what they said, but knew it didn't matter until after they caught the stalker.
He put the keys into the car. Looking over to Nimual, "Do you have the location?"He just looked at Josh before a ring in his phone to see where it was located. Josh smiled, "I knew you got this."He then put the keys into the car as they started to drive off. Soon, he made a portal that was about five miles from the location they drove through the city. Josh expected it to be somewhere where they wouldn't be alone. They made it to a place that was an apartment complex that seemed familiar to Carlos. They parked in the parking lot, walked towards the building, opened the door, and saw the stalker waiting. She looked at them before punching the ground. Josh was about to make a sword throw it at her, but he lagged as they all disappeared in a cloud of smoke.
They are all around now, sitting in a restaurant booth. Someone quickly came up to them before looking at Josh, saying, "I… be back with the menus." He walked away, and Josh looked over, now seeing both stalkers. The girl was tall with inky hair and cobalt blue eyes, and the man was built like a mountain. His face was sharp, his fog void like eyes, and his short, dark soil hair. She smirked, saying, "We'd better introduce ourselves by name, Isabella Light." She then looked at the man he groaned. She rolled her eyes, saying, "He is not much of a talker." She then whispered under her breath, "He also hates you."Ade spoke up, "Do you want to repeat that last part?" The waiter then came back, placing the menus down, saying, "I gave everyone a motion to look over our choices."Nimuel said, "Thank you," The waiter blushed, then Nimuel winked, and Carlos glared as the waiter walked away. Ade just looked at both of them, and Josh hit the table, causing everyone to look at him. He glared at Isabella, "Why did you bring us stalker one and two?" They snorted, saying, "She has a name for our so grateful leader." Josh, digging his fingernail into the table, Carlos spoke: "What is your name, sir?" Carlos smiled, and the man went quite away from them, then looked into the menu, saying, "My name is Finley Arne."Ade looked at Carlos, slightly impressed. They all looked through the restaurant. It was an Italian place. Josh scoffed. Soon, people started to look at them, and the waiter smiled to hide his fear. Then saying, "Do you know what we are going to be drinking today?" He placed down a dinner roll. Ade said, "I will have a glass of water." Everyone else went on with their order, but Josh just looked at Isabella. Before saying his order and drink. Nimuel looked at Josh, about to say something, when Josh made a pocket knife. Everyone looked at him. Carlos said, "Josh came down before you make this issue worse."They looked around, seeing people looking at them, filming them. He groaned, picking the blade inches away from your face. Looking around, then thinking about Mary and his kids before making the knife disappear. He leaned back in his booth, picking up a dinner roll. The waiter came back with a slightly bigger smile, placing their drink down, saying, "Your food will be out shortly. "Ade replied with a thank you. They all sat around the table in complete silence except for minor talk with Ade, Carlos, Nimuel, and sometimes Isabella. Josh just thought about all the way becould get out of this and planning upon him."I could teleport away- No, I need more information out of them," he looked up, seeing the day look towards the bathroom, whispering to Isabella before leaving.
Josh looked at his friends, then at Isabella. He made a pocket knife, going for her neck. Before anyone could stop him, the knife cut her neck open. Blood poured on the table as she smiled before slumping over, and then she heard screams from customers and waiters. Ade slapped him so hard his vision went blurry, looking around, seeing Carlos just stand there shaking as the blood oozed down the table and on his hands. Nimuel was looking around, angry, boiling in his mind. Ade yelled with hatred burned into his heart at him, "What have you done!?" He just sighed, "I had to get that out of my system," he tilted his head. Ade tried to stop him, but it was too late the time to rewind. Looking around at the table, seeing everyone look at him, then his head started to pound hard, and he felt dizzy, looking down, closing his eyes.
Josh heard screams as he opened his eyes, seeing Dallas in flames, he watched it grow and shrink. He was going to leave, looking at his own hands, blood was still covering him and his body parts and organs from the citizens he ran into. He took in every breath, feeling the warm death heat on him. The smell of burning bodies, clothes, hair, and wood. His eyes glowed a crimson red under the full moonlight. Someone called to him, "Josh? Josh? Josh?!" He saw Robert, and he smiled, seeing his old friend, who was sitting on the roof of the lab. Josh sighed, "Sorry, I was zoning out. What do you want to talk about?" Robert had a heavy sight, putting out a folded piece of paper from his bag. Josh unfolded the paper, seeing the words that shocked him came in witness to Robert and Feena's wedding. Josh grabbed Robert, hugging him, saying, "Great, I can't wait to come." Robert wasn't smiling. Josh asked, "What's wrong?" Robert looked down at his house. "Feena is pregnant, and I'm not sure I can be a good dad." Josh looked at the sunrise as it danced across the land. "Well, I wasn't sure either when Wendy was born, heck, when Oriris was born a couple months ago." Robert was not put at ease by that answer. Josh went on, "But I do know that you will be an amazing parent. We all make mistakes, we just need to fix… them." Josh looked around, seeing he was back in the restaurant, he held his hand over a glass of water, turning it to wine, and chugging the whole thing. Finley was impressed and felt more respect for him than he wanted to admit. Isabella barely turned her head as she kept thinking to herself. Carlos looked at his friends, wondering if they had an answer. Nothing came to them. Ade was going to tell the truth about the whole matter, but Carlos stopped him.
Carlos looked at him, "Josh, we are worried about you." He opened his eyes, looking up, then stretched out his smile, his eyes dilated, and dropped his voice, "Yes, now better than ever."He looked at Isabella as his friends looked at him. Nimuel said, "What's wrong with him?" Ade replied, "I don't know, he'd better watch Finley come back, sat down looking at Josh, he looked back now starting to show his teeth. The food came, and the waiter smiled at him, looking at Carlos as Josh spoke: "Thank you for this food, Thomas." The waiter looked down at his name tag, and it was not on. "Oh, thank you."Walking away, Ade looked at him. "What did you do?" Josh said back, "Nothing, Ade just enjoys the food, we need you healthy for a potential fight."Ade looked at Carlos and shrugged his shoulders. He just started to eat his food. The rest of the time was just in silence. They ordered dessert at the food, and then they split the bill. By the time they left, it was now 2:34. And some people stopped to look at them so much. They walked outside the restaurant. Josh was far back from the group, talking with "Thank you for this unexpected outing." Carlos and Nimuel joined in the conversation. Finley just watched from a distance as Josh, not too far behind Nimuel, brought something up. "Why did you stalk Josh and the rest of us?" Finley walked to them Josh did too. Isbella went silent," because Joshua is a threat to humanity, and needs to be-." She took a deep breath, trying to hide her shaking, "He needs to be eliminated, we believe, and the UN governments." Josh snapped back, "Oh, I see now you are insane!" She looked at him, pushing past everyone to look Josh in the eyes, so you want to say that again, our great leader?" Josh started to laugh while he looked at her with a dirty look. "I said you are stuck with your fantasy. You can leave with the fact that you have no power over us, gods. You are insane with a belief of entitlement, where you believe you could do anything. Things you want like you have any serious power." His smile grew bigger, and she clenched her teeth. The only insane person I see here is you. You false god-" she was cut off by Josh punching her in the face. Everyone went stunted except Josh, who made a large butcher knife about to strike her. Then Finley grabbed his blade, Josh just kept pushing, then Ade jumped into pushing him back with Carlos' help. Nimuel was able to rip the knife out of his hands. Finley dropped to the ground, checking on Isabella. Carlos was tending to his wounds. Ade slapped him, causing his vision to go blurry, making a small shockwave, and stumbling back, he looked at him and then at Nimuel. Nimuel yelled, holding back tears in anger in his heart at Josh, "What did you just do?" They all heard police sirens in the distance and people recording the whole scene before them.
