Consciousness returned to Yuji slowly. His eyes slowly blinked open, and he looked around the dimly lit room. There were paper talismans covering the walls, two support beams, and a man with white hair and a blindfold sitting backward in his chair, staring with a smile. The two stared at each other for a quiet minute. Gojo didn't move; his unwavering smile gave Yuji one thought: "Am I dead?" Gojo, after a second of deliberation, responded, "Yep, you're dead. Or you will be soon." Gojo leaned back, his arms hooked over the chair, the only thing keeping him from falling. "You have two options. One, you die," He held out a finger gun, and a blue ball of energy swirled to life at his finger tip. As soon as it came, it disappeared. He continued, "Or," He stood and kicked his chair aside, he approached Yuji with a gleaming smile, "You can live to eat the rest of Sukuna's fingers, then I'll kill you." Yuji looked up at him; his face had no complicated expression. "Just kill me then." "Eh?" "Kill me." Gojo backed up in mock horror, "Oh, you poor soul. Begging for death to not be trapped in the miserable existence of being the vessel to the undisputed king of curses?" Yuji stared up at him; the bindings holding his arms felt like they were tightening. "I'm not scared. Either way, I die, right? So just get it over with." Gojo smiled, "You're crazy, aren't you?" Yuji simply nodded. Gojo walked to the corner and picked his chair back up. Carefully, he positioned it right back in its previous spot and sat down. "Look, kid, I don't wanna see you die. We just met, so why don't you live?" "Why?" Gojo jumped out of his chair; he seemed excited, as if he had been waiting for that exact question. He pulls a whiteboard from seemingly nowhere. With a pointing stick, he tapped the already detailed whiteboard. Gojo cleared his throat, " Ryomen Sukuna was once a human. He got so strong and, in his greed for more power, sought and found a way to become a cursed spirit. He then divided himself into equal parts for each of his fingers. These fingers cannot be destroyed by any normal means, which is where you come in." He points yo a crudely drawn picture of Yuji, "One after all the fingers have been consumed, can the fingers along with Sukuna be destroyed." Yuji raised his hand, and Gojo stared incredulously. "Yes?" Gojo asked. He wondered when Yuji broke free from his restraints. "Do I have to do either?" Yuji rubbed his wrists; he hadn't felt any pain, but the sensation was tickling him. Gojo only smiled, "I'm afraid so. You are a danger, and even with my backing, you won't be allowed to go free. Don't worry, I'll delay your execution as long as possible." Yuji slowly rose, "So, if I eat all these fingers, and then die, that will save people?" Gojo nodded, "Of course." Yuji looked past him, "Right." The black, shadowy figure from before he fainted lingered in the corner; just from the look of it, Yuji could tell who it was, but he wasn't sure how he was there. Yuji tilted his head; his neck cracked. "Well, if I am to die anyway, I will eat the fingers." Gojo smiled, his head tilted. "Do you feel anything? Your face, heartbeat, or pulse did not change when casually speaking about execution." Yuji stared at him blankly, "Should I?" Gojo approached, "Your name?" Yuji stood tall before him, their heads reaching the same height, "Itadori Yuji." Gojo's smile split into a toothy grin. "Welcome, Itadori-Kun."
