"You are trespassing!" the insect guy shouted as he returned, sitting casually on one of the wooden planks near the ceiling.
"Well, sorry for coming without an invitation, but it was an emergency, you see…" Big Chill said, spreading his arms as if he were completely helpless.
"Hmph…"
"Since you've come all this way, you might as well stay here… as food."
His eyes glowed, and insects of all kinds began crawling and flying out from the surrounding areas, quickly surrounding the group.
"Grandpa, pick up that worker. Gwen, get everyone out of here. Keva, take care of Miss Liang," Big Chill said.
"Okay…"
Max quickly hoisted the unconscious worker onto his shoulders.
Meanwhile, Gwen created a set of mana stairs leading down.
Seeing them trying to escape, the insect guy wasn't about to let them leave so easily.
"We will rule mankind!"
His eyes glowed as the cockroaches around them suddenly gathered together, forming a gigantic fist that flew straight toward Big Chill.
Big Chill simply froze the giant cockroach fist without much trouble.
"You look like a bug too. Why are you helping them?" the insect guy asked, seemingly puzzled. "Why don't you join me? Together, we can rule mankind!"
"Chill out, will ya?" Big Chill replied casually. "First of all, why are you being so rude? And second, I'm not interested in your whole 'rule mankind' ambition."
He gestured toward the crumbling building.
"You should be more worried about getting out of here."
"Hmph! Attack him, my friends!"
Seeing his offer rejected, the insect guy snorted and ordered the insects to attack.
Big Chill responded by releasing a wave of icy breath across the floor, freezing the swarming insects in an instant.
But the sudden freezing caused the already weakened structure to strain.
Cracks spread across the floor and walls.
The entire building began to shake.
"You are destroying our home!!! No!!!"
His body was suddenly surrounded by a swarm of wasps, which carried him away from the collapsing building.
Meanwhile, the building began to shake violently as parts of the ceiling and walls started collapsing.
Gwen, who was still creating the mana stairs, noticed what was happening.
"Everyone, watch out!"
Gwen quickly raised her hands and created a large pink mana shield around them.
BOOM!
The building finally collapsed, sending debris crashing down around them. However, everyone inside the pink mana shield remained completely unharmed.
A moment later, Big Chill emerged from the ruins by phasing through the rubble with his intangibility.
Once the danger had passed, Gwen lowered the pink mana shield.
The insect guy also crawled out from the ruins, clutching his fallen bugs in his hands as he screamed in despair.
"No! No! No! You will be sorry… We will exterminate the whole city!" he shouted angrily.
All the flying bugs gathered around him and carried him away.

"This has been a really weird day…" Miss Liang said, clutching her head as if she were dreaming and desperately wanted to wake up.
"Welcome to our world…" Gwen and Keva said with a sigh.
"Thanks for saving me… And I thank you on behalf of the people in this town, too…" Miss Liang said, bowing toward Big Chill in gratitude.
"You don't need to do that. I did it because it was the right thing to do…" Big Chill said in his ghostly voice.
Hearing this, Miss Liang felt even more admiration for him.
Grandpa Max simply wore a proud smile and said nothing.
"Would you be willing to come to my house? You can stay there for today. I promise you'll be satisfied with my hospitality…" Miss Liang asked them.
After everything she had witnessed today—the insect guy, her rescuer who looked like an alien (Big Chill), and the girl who could create platforms and shields out of nowhere—she understood that all of them were extraordinary.
Even the black-haired girl and the old man who had rescued her seemed extraordinary in their own ways. However, although she was curious, she decided not to ask them any questions.
But she definitely wanted to repay them somehow, so she invited them to her home.
Of course, there was another reason too.
Although she was a little shy, she looked at Big Chill expectantly, waiting for his answer.
"Uh… maybe some other time…" Looking at her cute appearance especially with that figure, he really wanted to go and ask her for some special services as gratitude, but work was work.

Big Chill looked thoughtful. He glanced toward Grandpa Max, Gwen, and Keva, as if asking for their opinion.
Grandpa Max didn't really mind whether they stayed for the night—it was only one night, after all.
Keva and Gwen didn't mind either.
Although they sensed something unusual about Miss Liang, they couldn't quite figure out what it was, so they eventually stopped thinking about it.
Seeing that none of them seemed opposed to staying, Ben guessed they didn't mind spending the night there.
"Miss Liang, thanks for the invitation. After we catch that guy, we'll definitely come visit you."
"Great…! Then I can have some time to prepare things for you too!" Miss Liang said excitedly.
She gave them her contact information and address before happily heading off, eager to properly prepare for her guests.
As for the construction worker, he was still unconscious. Miss Liang said she would send someone to pick him up.

Max drove toward the power plant.
On the way, inside the Rustbucket, Ben sat beside Max after transforming back into his human form, while Gwen and Keva sat in the back.
Gwen was looking at her laptop.
"Wow… listen to this…"
"Ants can lift ten times their body weight, grasshoppers can leap 100 times their length, and cockroaches can hold their breath for over an hour."
[A/N: The grind don't stop.]
"We need to squash those bugs," Keva said, clenching her fist.
"Insects are pretty tough little suckers… So either we freeze them or fry them and have ourselves a little bug barbecue. Big Chill or Heatblast would be the best choices for this."
"We can't use Heatblast inside the power plant. So, just like Ben froze the bugs in that building, we just need to do the same thing here with Big Chill."
"Prr… sigh. Another bad guy I can't do anything about…" Keva sighed, resting her chin in her hands lazily.
"Well, it is what it is, I guess. I didn't do much either this time…" Gwen said, spreading her hands.
"Don't worry. You two always do a good job. There's no need to feel down just because of these things. Just do whatever you can, and if you can't, leave it to me. I'll handle it…" Ben said from the front seat, looking out the window.
They continued talking among themselves, and before long, they reached the power plant.
As soon as they entered, a red warning light began flashing.

"He must be fooling around with the reactor controls… let's hurry," Max said and ran ahead…
They reached the control room and heard more warnings —

Meltdown imminent…
"All the controls are smashed… We will have to shut it down manually…" Max said as he stepped toward the controls…
"How do we do that?" Keva asked…
"Just outside the reactor core, there's an emergency override system…" Max pointed toward the reactor core…
"Let me guess, you learned how to do this from a Chinese monk too, right?" Gwen crossed her arms and asked…
Grandpa Max was about to give another excuse ...
Just then, buzzing sounds came from behind them…
"Came for a front-row seat?" the bug guy appeared and asked…
"If a nuclear blast happens here, you're gonna end up blowing up too, just like us, Bugsy!!" Keva said…
"We don't think so," he replied with a creepy smile…
His eyes glowed, and all the cockroaches wrapped around him like armor…
"When the reactor gets super critical, we will be snug as bugs in a rug…" he said…
"Of course… cockroaches are the only things that would survive a nuclear blast…" Gwen said from the side…
"So, this guy's gonna wear a bug suit to protect himself from the meltdown?" Keva asked.
Suddenly, a green light flashed beside them.
They turned toward the spot and saw Big Chill spreading his wings.
"Big Chill!"
"Why waste time with Bugsy? Just deal with him quickly…"
Big Chill said, unleashing his icy breath toward the bug guy, who was preparing to attack as well.
"Shhhhh…"
The bug guy and his bugs quickly froze in place.
Big Chill floated down and landed beside Gwen.
Just when he was about to say something, they heard another warning…
Warning: Meltdown in 5 minutes...
"Let me handle the reactor…" Big Chill said to them before phasing through the glass using his intangibility.
"Now then, let's cool it down and make a big ice cube, shall we?"
Big Chill unleashed his icy breath again, freezing the entire reactor.
Core temperature falling…
Returning to below critical limit ...
Core temperature falling...
"Alright!" Gwen and Keva cheered together.
"Way to go, Ben!" Grandpa Max praised him.
"Wait just a sec…"
Big Chill turned toward the insect guy, who was now basically an ice cone.
He picked him up and carried him outside the plant.

On the way…
"Hmm… are you trying to thaw your way out?"
Big Chill noticed the bugs moving inside the ice.
"Well, it seems I didn't freeze you to death…"
"Come out quickly… so I can give you a solid punch in the face."
Big Chill placed him by the roadside and waited.
Crack… crack… crack…
The ice began to break, and Mr. Bugsy finally emerged.
"Ugh… We don't appreciate the cold shoulder you gave us at the plant. You will regret this…"
He began gathering his bugs, preparing to attack.
"Yeah, yeah, sure…"
Big Chill remained completely nonchalant.
He simply took out a jar filled with sugar from his inventory.
The moment they caught the scent, the bugs were immediately attracted to it, completely overriding the insect guy's telepathic control over them.
Big Chill casually threw the jar toward the river beside them.
All the bugs immediately chased after it, leaving the insect guy completely defenseless.
"No! Get back! Where are you going?!" he shouted.
"Your little friends abandoned you. But did you forget about me, Bugsy?"
Big Chill suddenly appeared right in front of him.
The insect guy could only manage an awkward smile, revealing his rows of yellowish teeth—
Before Big Chill punched him in the face.
And with that, he was finally defeated for good.

Max, Gwen, and Keva soon returned after Grandpa Max had finished handling everything that needed to be done at the power plant.
As they stepped out of the Rustbucket, Max noticed the unconscious bug guy sitting by the roadside.
"Wait here. I'm going to call the police," he said before heading back inside the Rustbucket.
Gwen and Keva high-fived each other.
"Finally, this guy is done for… Ugh, bugs are gonna creep me out for days," Gwen said, shuddering at the thought.
"Hehe…" Keva laughed.
"Alright, we need to meet Miss Liang too. Don't forget—she invited us over."
Ben and Gwen nodded.
