Chapter 97 - 97

Chapter 97: Flop Diary: Summary

You can skip this (laughs).

Writing this book has been even more difficult than the last one.

I've always felt that writing lighthearted comedy is a very difficult thing to do.

It requires very clever design and creative imagination to make people feel happy.

Otherwise, it just becomes very awkward.

The novels I wrote before were more on the serious and story-driven side.

This is my first time writing this kind of novel.

It really is difficult.

I have to consider whether every chapter is interesting.

Every day I'm thinking about memes, plot points, achievements, and creative ideas.

I'm also writing much slower.

With the last book, I could write a chapter in an hour; this book basically takes between one and a half to two hours.

But looking at the feedback, it's barely a passing grade.

The current performance is basically the same as the last book, reaching the homepage's six-channel recommendation.

I just don't know if I can make it to the Sanjiang recommendation.

Well, as a flop author, I'm just dreaming; it's a bit far-fetched.

However, the last book had a 'poison point' around this time, which led to poorer performance upon release, and later I had to directly speed up the pace.

The first volume was originally called Son of Destiny, which was based on Naruto's child of prophecy.

Later, after the Tianming Organization was introduced, I changed it to Tianming Tide, which feels more appropriate.

I made quite a few mistakes while writing the previous book.

For example, I wrote too much daily life content in the early stages, so I wanted to avoid that problem in this book.

Initially, I planned for the protagonist to farm while using alternate identities to go out and stir up trouble, so it wouldn't just be daily life and the pace wouldn't be too slow.

I learned this from the great author Kongxiang Zhilong's 'The Naruto World in the Eyes of the Tenseigan'.

Regarding how to create alternate identities, I thought about the Chimera Technique, but I felt it didn't really fit Naruto, and it requires a lot of technology and money.

Then I thought about how Naruto's Shadow Clones seem to be quite disobedient, so I thought I could let the Shadow Clones go out and stir up trouble.

The first time, a bug occurred because my setting wasn't rigorous enough, so I added a system patch later.

Another point of contention was whether I needed to write out the Shadow Clones' stories in detail.

Because many reader bosses had disputes over this, I later changed it to interspersing them with the protagonist's story.

Actually, I personally quite like the Shadow Clones' stories.

Because I spent a long time designing them.

Based on the principles of stirring up trouble, creative ideas, and joy, I designed three Shadow Clones for the first volume.

The first one is Yasuo; it's simple, basically just founding Tianming.

This was also to avoid another problem from the previous book.

I tried to write revolutionary themes, but due to censorship, a lot of it couldn't be written, so it didn't work out very well.

So in this book, I just let the Shadow Clones do it to skip some processes.

The second one is Gen Shisei; this was also simple, going to the Land of Water to interact with Mei Terumī, and there are some foreshadowings later.

The third one is a bit more flamboyant; The Foolfirst tricked Zabuza and Haku into Tianming, then fooled Orochimaru and Uchiha Itachi.

This can be considered the main content of this volume.

To be honest, before writing it, I was always worried that everyone wouldn't be able to accept it.

After all, those two are also highly popular in the original work.

I was afraid of being scolded.

But looking at the results, it seems okay.

A bit of the fourth Shadow Clone has already been revealed.

This involves the content of the second volume, stirring up trouble in the Land of Fire.

Besides the Shadow Clones, it's about the development of the protagonist and the people around him.

Looking at it now, my book title doesn't quite match the content.

Changing it to something like 'Card Drawing' or'Stirring Trouble with Alternate Identities' would be better.

The first one I wrote about was Inuzuka Kiba, who actually doesn't have much screen time.

At the time, I was thinking about increasing dog food production, but looking back, it feels a bit forced and is somewhat problematic.

The second one is Hinata, the female lead, so naturally, there's no need to say more.

The third one is Neji.

Actually, the male lead I originally set was Neji, but it would have been difficult to manage with the female lead and would have caused problems, so I stuck with Naruto.

Neji is set as a scientist.

Mainly because there are too many Orochimaru-related scientists, and since the Byakugan is naturally suitable, I made one.

As for the character cards of Shirou Emiya and Orion, they were purely to strengthen their power.

Some people said I should give the protagonist a few.

Actually, the protagonist is nearly invincible right now, but don't worry, he will get some.

That's about it.

I hope I can continue to bring joy to all you bosses.

If you have any good creative ideas, you can also tell me; they can all be added to the Shadow Clones.

Starting from the second volume, the protagonist will also leave the village to stir up trouble.
