Chapter 115: About Bringing Little Sun-Moon to School Together~
...
Amou Kirukiru nodded after hearing the explanation. It made sense. With Seito's current strength, there was truly nothing to worry about. Besides, their Country was nothing like certain Western nations; as long as they stayed true to themselves, they'd be fine.
Amou didn't pry further. Knowing the gist of it was enough. Beside them, Kanade Tachibana had somehow already scooped Little Sun-Moon into her arms, gently stroking its fur with a faint, involuntary smile on her face.
The three of them finished breakfast quickly. Amou and Kanade grabbed their bento boxes and headed for the door. Remembering something, Amou looked back at Seito. "Are you coming to my class for lunch again today?"
"Yeah, I'll head over to your place," Seito nodded.
Twenty minutes later...
The trio arrived at the academy gates and headed straight inside. It was almost time for morning self-study. Little Sun-Moon hopped out of Kanade's arms and perched itself on Seito's right shoulder. They entered the teaching building, climbed to the third floor, and split up to their respective classrooms.
When Seito entered Class D, he found Shizuka Hiratsuka and the rest of the students already present. Only his seat remained empty. The moment he stepped in, the entire class's gaze shifted toward him. When they saw the tiny white kitten on his shoulder, everyone froze.
The girls, in particular, stared wide-eyed at Little Sun-Moon. Yukino Yukinoshita's beautiful eyes were practically glued to the creature!
"You..." Shizuka-sensei's mouth twitched.
"Don't you know the academy has a 'no pets' policy?"
The kitten was undeniably cute, but rules were rules.
"Shizuka-sensei, Little Sun-Moon is very well-behaved." Seito didn't argue the point. Instead, he turned his head toward the kitten. "Little Sun-Moon, remember to be a good girl and listen."
As soon as he finished speaking, the kitten nodded repeatedly. This display of intelligence made the students' eyes light up even more. This kitten's IQ is insane! And she's so precious! The girls were mentally screaming at the cuteness overload.
Even Shizuka Hiratsuka was surprised. A kitten this smart was a rare find. "Fine. Get to your seat."
"Thanks, Sensei~" Seito smiled and walked to his desk.
Sitting in his "King's Throne," Seito placed Little Sun-Moon on the desk and checked her gender. Yep, female! He rubbed her head, leaned down, and whispered, "Little Sun-Moon, you have to be elegant from now on."
These pets were highly intelligent. Hearing his words, she immediately understood. She straightened her tiny back, tilted her head high, and began strutting across the desk with a perfect "catwalk."
"Not bad, not bad at all!" Seito's lips curled upward.
Seeing his pet act so refined, Seito felt he had finally grasped the true essence of elegance. During the thirty-minute self-study period, he kept drilling the concept of elegance into her. Little Sun-Moon learned voraciously, and her entire aura began to shift.
Once the break started, Megumi Kato in the front seat couldn't hold back anymore. She turned around to look at the kitten. "Seito-kun, did you buy this pet?" she asked with her usual neutral expression.
"In a way," Seito thought about it. He helped Dr. Kant, and Dr. Kant rewarded him—it was basically a transaction.
Whoosh—!
Suddenly, a figure appeared beside his desk. Yukino Yukinoshita was staring intently at Little Sun-Moon. Sensing the gaze, the kitten looked back. Seeing a human female, she elegantly curled her body into a perfect circle.
At that moment, Honjou Kaede (Maple), Risa Shiramine (Sally), and Shoko—the girls Seito was closest with—also gathered around.
"Wow~ Seito-kun, are you raising a kitten at home now?" Maple asked, her face full of joy as she reached out to pet her. Little Sun-Moon didn't seem to mind, letting her stroke the fur freely.
"This kitten feels like a little noble," Risa remarked, eyeing the snow-white fur. She noticed that every one of the kitten's movements leaked a sense of high-born grace.
"Haha, she is very elegant," Seito chuckled.
The arrival of the three girls interrupted Yukino's plan. She had been hoping to get a pet in herself, but now... she shot Seito a resentful look. Sensing the gaze, Seito looked up, only to see her staring back with an icy, cold expression.
He was genuinely confused. Did I imagine it? I thought I was immune to Yukino's cold stares by now?
Soon, the bell rang. Maple and the others scurried back to their seats. Seito watched the balding teacher enter and listened to the lecture with his typical "dead fish eyes."
After a while, he realized he couldn't pay attention, so he slumped onto the desk and drifted off to sleep. Seeing her master sleeping, Little Sun-Moon followed suit, curling up on the desk for a nap.
Time flew by, and soon it was noon. The noisy chatter of the classroom woke Seito up. He lifted his head to find a crowd of female students surrounding his desk, whispering and pointing at the sleeping kitten.
Yukino was right there, gently stroking Little Sun-Moon's fur. Most students looked embarrassed when they saw him wake up, but Maple and her friends just smiled.
"Seito-kun, Little Sun-Moon is just too cute~"
"She's alright." Seito stretched his limbs and looked at Yukino. "Yukino, take care of Little Sun-Moon for a bit. I'm heading over to Class E."
Without waiting for her sharp-tongued retort, he squeezed through the crowd and left the room. Yukino was momentarily annoyed by his sudden departure, but the thought of him entrusting the kitten to her care significantly improved her mood.
