Thanos was directly struck by the asteroid, getting slightly dazed in the process.
Eldrin took advantage of that and formed a tentacle made of darkness that grabbed the gauntlet successfully taking it off, rendering Thanos powerless.
Eldrin then, right after, teleported in front of Thanos kicking him in the stomach, sending him flying even faster towards the sun.
Eldrin rushed towards him again, throwing a final punch at Thanos' face that sealed his fate.
Thanos, already knowing what was about to happen, closed his eyes, accepting defeat.
"Well played" thought Thanos, as his body was burned to ash by the sun.
And just like that, Thanos, the mad titan failed to embody destiny's will due to his insufficient power.
Eldrin, who was now holding the gauntlet thought.
"A worthy opponent indeed"
He then started rapidly teleporting towards the sanctuary.
Back at the sanctuary.
A green humanoid female was observing the whole fight with complex feelings.
The four figures were standing there anxiously, seemingly waiting for something or someone.
Suddenly, behind Erskine appeared a figure whose head was that of Thanos, he then proceeded to shout.
BOOO!
The four figures were startled, visibly flinching.
"Damn it Eldrin!" said Erskine in annoyance.
"I apologise, but it had to happen, I haven't used my shape-shifting abilities for quite a while" said Eldrin with a smile.
He then turned towards a corner and said.
"And who might you be?"
The humanoid female alien hiding in that corner came out with her dagger in her hands, ready to attack at any moment.
Seeing that Eldrin said.
"There's no need for such vigilance; we have no ill will towards you specifically"
The green humanoid female alien lowered her daggers when she heard that.
"You may leave now" said Eldrin.
A few minutes later, a small spaceship could be seen departing from the sanctuary.
"Who was she?" asked Namor, slightly puzzled.
Eldrin answered with a grim tone.
"The daughter of Thanos, an unfortunate one I must say, quite a tragic past she has"
T'Chakas curiosity was piqued, and he asked.
"Do you know of her past?"
Eldrin nodded and answered.
"As brilliant and wise Thanos was, he was just as cruel; he massacred half her planet's population, including her parents, then adopted her and trained her as an assassin from childhood"
Even the battle-hardened Namor couldn't help but feel pity for her.
But the most pissed of all was Erskine, he was reminded of World War II when Germany sent children to war, trained to kill at a young age.
But his anger was interrupted by a feeling in his hands, he looked down, and what he saw filled him with dread.
It was the Infinity Gauntlet, with the two infinity stones embedded in it.
"You can't do this to me, DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH TIME I SACRIFICED, JUST FOR THE TESSERACT?!" Erskine said ''calmly''.
"It is your destiny, old friend; dread it, run from it, destiny will arrive all the same" Eldrin said while perfectly mimicking Thanos' voice.
This made even black bolt almost laugh, the others were barely holding it in.
"OH well, look at the time" said Eldrin while looking at the nonexistent watch, and continued.
"It is time for us to return"
Eldrin then raised his hands and coated the whole sanctuary with darkness, and started moving it towards Earth; it is valuable after all.
In the front lines
It was pure chaos for Thanos fleet; they were constantly bombarded with tesseract-powered blasts.
Though their shields held for a few minutes, which was remarkable, but their only threat was not the tesseract-powered blasts.
In deep space, more than 20 thousand figures could be seen flying, a thousand of them were custodians, and the rest were Astartes.
Due to being high humans, they possessed telekinetic capabilities allowing for flight, and for oxygen, both Astartes and Custodians could hold their breath for more than 4 hours, their suits of armour also have oxygen stored inside that could last for 6 hours.
Leading the custodians were 20 mutated ones, and one of them was Fenrir, the first mutated custodian with wolf-like abilities.
Fenrir then spoke in the Communication channel that was connected to his faction, The Vlka Fenryka.
"Form four-man squads, each squad will take on a spaceship, Do not disappoint the emperor"
The other 20 mutated custodians gave similar orders to their faction, and the legion of 20 thousand dispersed in different directions.
Fenrir rushed towards the nearest spaceship and simply used his telekinesis to tear it apart from the inside, killing all the passengers in the process, he then controlled the now destroyed spaceship and threw it towards another one, causing an explosion that reduced both into scrap metal.
The Astartes, having weaker telekinetic abilities had to use the combined force of their squad to destroy a single spaceship.
Thankfully, this was a small portion of Thanos ' army; their fleet numbered around one and a half million, while the Human Empire had a fleet of nine hundred thousand.
Although Thanos ' fleet was superior in numbers, the human fleet had superior defence and offence due to the tesseract, So after 3 hours of the combined efforts of both the human empire and allied civilizations, Thanos' fleet was finally annihilated.
In a desert on planet Earth, a 19-kilometer-long spaceship could be seen being slowly being lowered to the ground by Eldrin's shadow manipulation.
"Steady, Steady, STEADY!" Shouted Erskine panicked when he saw the spaceship about to fall into the ground a little too fast; however it was simply Eldrin messing with him.
Eldrin, who had safely lowered the spaceship to the ground looked towards Namor, who was walking towards him, and asked.
"Have the passengers been eliminated?"
Namor nodded and said.
"Yes, although great in number, the combined strength of Black Bolt and me was more than enough to deal with them."
Eldrin then looked towards Erskine with a smile and said.
"You have quite a lot of paperwork to do, Erskine, though you also obtained quite a valuable spaceship"
Erskine nodded with a sigh and said.
"The spoils of war will be distributed to the leaders of the allied civilizations who have helped us immensely."
