It had only been three days since the new caretaker had taken over.
Yet somehow, the entire Romano mansion felt different and Rafael hated it. The morning began like every other morning.
The new caretaker entered his room carrying a tray with breakfast and coffee.
"Good morning, sir."
Rafael was already working on documents without looking up, he reached for the coffee. The moment he took a sip, his brows furrowed.
Too sweet. His mood immediately darkened.
"What is this?"
The caretaker froze.
"S-Sir?"
"This coffee."
He placed the cup down sharply.
"Why is there sugar in it?"
The young woman looked confused.
"I'm sorry, sir. I followed the instructions exactly."
Rafael's irritation only grew.
"It doesn't taste right."
The caretaker quickly apologized and rushed to prepare another cup.
As she left, Rafael rubbed his forehead.
Why was he getting angry over coffee? It was ridiculous. Yet the annoyance refused to disappear.
