Chapter 18 - The First Farm

The twins had realized that relying on the market alone would never provide the resources they truly needed for the Long Airloom Technique. Spirit stones were finite, herbs scarce, and metals often tainted with low-level Qi from careless cultivators.

Matthew spoke one afternoon as they returned from the market. "We need our own supply. A farm. If we cultivate herbs ourselves, we can control purity and growth."

Michael laughed, stretching his arms. "And I suppose I get to forge tools for the farm too?"

"You better," Matthew said with a smirk. "Precision is just as important for cultivation as it is for forging."

The twins rented a small plot by the river, not far from the branch family residence. The soil was fertile, infused with minor spiritual energy, and the air carried the faint scent of the river's Qi.

Michael constructed a small stone anvil for processing roots and a set of wooden tools for planting and irrigation. Matthew examined the soil, scattering seeds and tiny saplings with meticulous care, murmuring softly to them as if they were already alive.

Days turned into weeks. Under the twins' careful attention, the plants flourished, each herb pulsing faintly with Qi. The twins discovered that their cultivation enhanced the plants themselves—each leaf stronger, each root denser with energy.

The dragon turtle's voice resonated in their minds, calm yet commanding.

The Dao of Creation is not merely the path of the body. Tools, herbs, and Qi are extensions of your soul. Nurture them well, and you will cultivate not only strength, but influence.

By the end of the first month, the twins had harvested a batch of herbs far superior to anything in the market. Their success marked the beginning of a new approach to cultivation, where they combined the Long Airloom Technique with creation and nurturing, not just combat.
