Everyone in the city knew Scarlett Vale, the famous daughter of the Vale group, a cooperation that owned several companies. To the public eyes the Vale group was a perfect example of clean success, that originated from hard work and dedication but underneath the veneer of excellence a far more complicated, evil and dirty family was well hidden.
The tech and ai business they told the world that it was the sole reason they live a wealthy and comfortable life was a good polished lie. An underworld drug manufacturing company where pills and injections were manufactured and distributed all over the city and even went as far as crossing the borders to neighboring countries but all this would not be possible without the Blaine family who owned a large logistics and distributer company.
This partnership was what led to Scarlet vale and Adrian Blaine to be betrothed to each other in attempt to strengthen the partnership between the two families while getting rid of rising topics about the two family's sudden closeness but Adrian was against the pairing.
Scarlet paced back and forth in her father's study while he sat calmly behind the wood polished desk .her heels made loud sounds as they clicked on the floor .the lingering scent of cigar made her mood even worse and annoyance was written all over her face .Her father watched her closely as she paced up and down but he did not say a word, he knew what is it that probably got Scarlett so irritated .After minutes of going in circles she finally came to a stop ,turned to face her father.
"That bastard is really getting on my nerves "she took a deep sigh 'he is being so disrespectful he was forced but he does not have to be such a bitch about it, he is still seeing someone even after all my warnings and he is protecting her so hard I can't even find her information"
Her father leaned back on the chair studying his daughter, he knew scarlet was holding back about dealing with this matter and he did not understand why. The old man cleared his throat and said "I hope you understand what is at stake if this marriage does not happen? And I don't think you are going to allow some girl cost our family so much "his voice was filled with so much calmness
Scarlett took a sit at the chair opposite her father "I do get your point but I can't do anything to her, he is so overprotective of her and it's basically useless to tell a girl to leave your fiancé alone when the fiancé keeps following her around like a dog in heat.
The old man was about to give a response when a phone call interrupted him, he immediately stood up from his chair and walked towards scarlet. he placed his hand on her shoulder "I have to take this but I'm sure you can deal with the situation"
He answered the call and walked out of the study leaving scarlet alone to pounder alone in her thoughts, her expression turned calm with her hands tapping slowly on the table. but it was clear she was up to no good.

The morning sun slipped through the large floor to ceilings window turning the light in the room golden. The room was golden. The and elegant, painted in warm colors that bled well with the morning sun. A huge bed stood in the middle of the room with wrinkled sheets and a large mirror placed directly above the bed on the ceiling. Adrian slept peacefully with his hair scattered on the silky pillow.
Adrian started hearing heels clicking violently on the stairs, the sounds became more clearer but he was too sleepy to worry about it. He dragged the blanket to cover his head to minimize the noise so he could sleep but before he could even get comfortable the door swung upon violently, he immediately kicked the blanket off and sat up.
"Good morning, babe, hope you had a great night? Did you dream about me? "She looked at Adrian with a smug grin.
Scarlett stood in the middle of the room rocking a maxi Black backless dress that had a dramatic slit exposing her clear thick thighs and some Christian Louboutin heels holding a small Loro Piana purse with her hair in a high slicked ponytail.
"How can it be considered a great night if I dreamed about you? Adrian shot back "and why do you just barge into my room like it's your father's study"
"Technically this is my house, we are just a few months away from getting married"
Adrian let out a mocking laugh "So you really think I would marry you? "He stopped and looked her from head to toe and from toe to head "Wow must be nice being delusional all the time"
Scarlett carefully placed her purse on the bed and sit on the edge of the bed. "I have heard about your little girlfriend"
Adrian's eyes widened in disbelief and Scarlett caught that.
"You must be wondering how I got to know about her right? Well, it was not that hard but I must applaud you, you really tried to keep her hidden"
She stood up and walked towards the window and her heels making a constant rhythm as she approached the window.
"Lilly ,24 years old, she works at a strip club bar I'm sure that's where you met, stay alone in a hotel at 23rd Tade Street, catches the 5 pm train to work every day, she is cancer and her birthday is in two months "
After explaining Lily's life like she knew her for a lifetime she turned to face Adrian who is still shocked on sitting on the bed, she let out a small evil smile.
"Ending the contract, she has with God to live on this earth won't be hard "
"Don't you dare!!"Adrian erupted from the bed forgetting he was sleeping in his underpants only and approached Scarlett. "If you dare do anything to her, you will kiss this marriage goodbye "he pointed a finger at her with his eyes narrowing in anger.
Scarlett met Adrian in his tracks and grabbed him by his balls and pulled him close to her ,she leaned into his ear and whispered "I have never been the type to share what is meant to be mine and it won't start now because I want to try and feed your ego "Adrian tried to protest and break free but Scarlett's grips tightened around his balls and her nails started digging into the skin through the cloth "I do not ever want to see you with her are we clear?"
Adrian stayed stubborn and did not answer her but she also showed her stubbornness and squeezed more "I said are we clear" He finally gave up to the pain "Yes we are clear"
Scarlett had a victorious smile on her face; she let his balls go slowly and played with them a little "Now go and take a bath we have a meeting to attend"
Upon her releasing him he grabbed his balls trying to ease the pain while heading to the bathroom "You crazy bitch!!"
Scarlett continued smiling while she sat on the bed waiting for him.

The wheels of the BMW i7 screeched when it came to a stop Infront of the Vale tech Company. The bodyguards stationed on the from door rushed to open the doors and Scarlett and Adrian came out of the car and held hands Infront of the press to portray a happy couple. They walked into the boardroom and everyone was already waiting for them.
"Scarlett you are late",
"I know father I just had something to sort out with Adrian before coming here "She looked at Adrian who was sitting opposite her at the table and he looked at her annoyed "
"It's fine, start the presentation "
A lady dressed in professional attire and wearing glasses stood up with her tablet in hand to present.

It only took 3 days for Adrian to defy Scarlett's rules; he only held himself from seeing Lily so Scarlett could let her guard down.
He was in the tub naked with Lily resting her head on his chest and drawing on it while he kept running his fingers through her wet hair.it was all quiet and only the sound even lily could hear Adrian's heart beat fast. She could not tell if he was scared or he was just over excited to be with her. Adrian seemed distant and not being flirty like he usually is
Lily finally broke the silence "I am scared babe; your fiancé seems really scary what if she really kills me "her voice was low
"She won't dare to that; she knows what is at stake of she does "
"I mean recently there were some people following me, what if they followed me to this place "She took a deep sigh "I feel I am not safe"
Adrian gently grabbed her chin and tilted her head to look in her eyes "She is just a dog Wech barks and never bites, I am stronger than her so I can easily protect you"
He leaned over and his lips brushed softly against hers. After the kiss Lily key, out a gentle laugh showcasing her relief.
"Now stop worrying and get down there and go be me a good head "He commanded her.
Meanwhile Scarlett was in her room watching over everything through her tablet.
She smirked slowly "It's really time I take action".
