Chapter 37 - Chapter 36: The Interview, Part 2

"You, Ray Evans, as far as I know, not only wrote the script for this film but also directed the entire filming process and played one of the main roles. The story turned out very instructive and made me think about many things."

"This film was made for the AFI film school competition. My girlfriend dreams of becoming an actress. When I learned about the competition, I decided to do my best to make her dream come true," Ray replied.

"I don't have any actors in my circle, so all the roles were written for people I know. I think that's the main reason everyone looks so natural."

"I know the next question might offend you, but the truth is, I love not only basketball but also boxing. So I have to ask: your father, Ricky Evans, was a multiple world champion. Do you have any contact with him?"

"No. I know he has many fans, and for many, his story is inspiring. But for me, he's the man who beat the mother of his child. My mother is not only beautiful, she also has a wonderful character, and she deserves happiness. But that bastard planted a fear of men in her soul."

"Your question didn't offend me. The truth is, I don't care about him. I acknowledge he was a good boxer because that's a fact. But he loved boxing far more than he loved me and my mother."

"I believe that whatever you do, you should love your work, but family should always come first."

"Now it's time to ask a few questions to the main ornament of this evening, Lily Harrison."

"Honestly, when I found out you and Ray were a couple, I was shocked at first. But seeing how you interact behind the scenes, I realized you're a very good pair. I think everyone is curious about how Ray managed to win your heart."

"I was lucky with genetics, I have to thank my ancestors for that. So from an early age, I heard plenty of compliments. In high school, there were even more. There were plenty of candidates who wanted to get into my pants. And if not for my parents' death, which forced me to grow up quickly, someone might have succeeded."

"I met Ray when I was feeling very low. He didn't just shower me with compliments to comfort me; he actually helped me, not to mention that every word he said was sincere. That day, my great-grandmother, who had cared for me after my parents died, ended up in the hospital."

Pausing, the girl continued:

"I had no money, I didn't know what to do, so I just got drunk. It was my first and last binge. I was so drunk that anyone could have taken advantage of me. Waking up in a hotel with a terrible headache, I was very scared. Ray and his friend, seeing my condition, took me from that bar and got me a hotel room. Ray took care of me while I recovered. And upon hearing my story, he gave me money and helped me find a job."

"He may not be handsome, but he didn't take advantage of me when I was vulnerable; instead, he surrounded me with care and helped me. With this act, he not only conquered my heart but also earned my respect. And in my eyes, there is no one more worthy."

"Your mother, Isabella Harrison, was an outstanding actress. Is your desire to go to film school connected to wanting to follow in her footsteps?"

"Yes. When I was a child, my mother sometimes took me to shoots. But after my parents died, dreams took a back seat. Ray brought my dream back to me, and when we started working, I realized I really love this."

"What was the hardest thing for you during filming?"

"It was the kissing scene. I'm still ashamed for causing so many problems for the entire film crew. I'm also very grateful for the support of my beloved and Tony, who was understanding, as well as his fiancée Michelle, who became a good friend of mine during the filming."

"Tony, which scene was hardest for you?"

"For me, it was the same kissing scene. I'm glad my fiancée and Ray both understood."

"Ray, did you have a similar scene?"

"Yes, honestly, there were several, but I can't talk about them because that would be spoilers."

"I'd like to express gratitude once again to all the members of the film crew and to say that all proceeds from the film's release will go to charity. This is a joint decision of all the film crew members and the owner of the Bastion cinema chain. In three days, you'll be able to watch our film there," Ray said sincerely.

"I'm glad you all came. I want to say that if I were one of those voting in this competition, my vote would definitely be for you. I'll also definitely watch your film several times and make all my friends watch it."

"We're very grateful, but there's no need to force anyone," Ray said with a laugh.
