Eurostate still permitted limited physical violence but it was carefully controlled. Individuals who could not tolerate endless linguistic conflict were given an alternative path. They became gunslingers.
Gunslingers were allowed to resolve disputes through actual gunfire but only in specific locations. Bars. Pubs. Clubs. These environments functioned as ritual arenas.In there, violence remained contained, predictable and narratively legible. The rest of society simply continued fighting with words, a state of affairs most citizens preferred for gunshots ended conflicts quickly while words prolonged them indefinitely.
