Warsaw eventually became the center of the Logomachy. This development surprised many observers for the city, great as it was, had once been associated primarily with military conflict. Perhaps it was that history then that made it the perfect location. None can say for sure but what was beyond reproach was that Warsaw understood war better than most places. It knew how to absorb it, how to endure it and perhaps most importantly, how to remain silent about it.
In the age of swords, Warsaw had been a battlefield but now, In the age of words, it became an arena. It was the city that hosted the largest logomachies in Eurostate, a location which wordsmiths traveled from across the continent to compete there for winning in Warsaw meant mastery of language itself.
It also meant survival.
This was because losing too many battles in Warsaw could reduce a reputation to nothing. And nothing was fatal.
