Emily waited while Alexander finished speaking with investors.
A young businessman approached her.
"So you're the CEO's assistant."
Emily nodded politely.
"Yes."
The man smirked.
"I didn't know Knight Corporation hired assistants based on appearance."
Emily frowned.
"What do you mean?"
The man leaned closer.
"You're obviously here to entertain him."
Emily's face flushed with anger.

A cold voice interrupted.
"Step away from her."
The businessman froze.
Alexander stood behind him, his expression icy.
The room suddenly felt tense.
"She works for me," Alexander continued.
"If you insult her again, you will never work with Knight Corporation."
The businessman immediately apologized.
"I'm sorry, Mr. Knight."
He quickly left.
Emily looked at Alexander in surprise.
"You didn't have to do that."
Alexander stared at her seriously.

Emily tilted her head.
"Why?"
