Chapter 8 - (The fellowship.)

Chapter eight:

Travis was sitting on his horse, while he watched the leaders of Middle Earth gather for their meeting. Lord Elrond of Rivendell sat at the head of the group while dwarves, men and elves were seated in their seats. Frodo even attended the meeting, along with Gandalf the Gray. Travis was curious to know what was going on, but he couldn't get any closer than he already was on horse back. And he didn't want to go down there and ease drop because that would just raise suspicion. So, Travis simply watched the meeting take place.

It wasn't long before Frodo stood up and placed the ring on the stone table. Travis wanted to ride down and take the ring, but he knew that if he did that he wouldn't make it out alive. After all, this is Rivendell. And elves don't miss. He watched every move the men, dwarves and elves made.

A man, known as Boromir, was the first man to stand up and let the ring control him. But before he could touch the ring, Gandalf the Gray stood up and began speaking a spell. The sun was covered by the clouds, as Gandalf spoke the echoing words. Travis looked over at the hobbit. He could see that the ring has already taken his life. He is now connected to it.

Then one of the dwarves, Gimil, stood up with his axe in hand. He slammed it down on the ring, causing him to fall down. However, it wasn't the ring that broke apart. It was the axe.

"Huh fool's." Travis said to himself.

Soon enough, Legolas stood up from his seat. He began arguing with the dwarves, which caused an argument to occur. Travis rolled his eyes. How could they be so foolish? The argument was stopped by a single hobbit, who offered to take the ring to Mount Doom, so that it could be destroyed.

Soon enough members of Middle Earth offered to help Frodo, therefore, the Fellowship of the Ring. They all exited the meeting area and prepared to set out on their journey. Travis rode his horse closer to the elvish building, so he could be close to the path that the fellowship would take.

He saw the members of the fellowship grouped together before archway. There were so many elves to see them off. Travis was becoming irritated though. He wanted the ring so bad, so that he could prove to his father that he was more than just a man. So that he could make him proud.

The fellowship started heading out, starting their journey together. Travis remained in hiding, while he followed them without knowing. He needed to keep a close eye on them, so that when the time was right, he could take the ring from them.
