Audrey Myers could hear some background noise even before she will open her eyes. It felt so heavy as she tried to lift her eyelids but to no avail. After calmly opening her eyes, she was met with flashlights.

The sound of cameras nonstop.Her head throbbed. Her mouth tasted metallic. Her body felt wrong — heavy, disoriented, unfamiliar.
She could hear voices calling out to her.
"Miss Myers!"
"Look this way!"
"Is it true you're involved with President Cruz?"
She sat confused and it was then she realized she was in another bed.
While trying to process what was happening, a broad chest engulfed her in an embrace, protecting her from the cameras. She tried looking at him but he seemed busy giving out instructions to his bodyguards.
She then realized the clicks have stopped. She didn't know how but she was glad.
She wasn't alone.
The sheets slid down her bare shoulder.

She tried covering herself and he noticed and grinned. She felt so helpless.She finally got a chance to look at him and realized she did not know him but he looked familiar.
Her heart stopped as she thought of Damian." Oh my God, I hope Damian does not see this" . This made the guy burst into laughter. She looked intently at him and he finally spoke. "Don't you recall anything that happened yesterday?"
She shook her head and he began laughing even louder. He went to the washroom without saying a word, leaving Audrey more confused. She could not leave because the paparazzi will be lingering around so she had to wait. Shortly after, the guy came out and order breakfast. She could not eat much as she did not know how Damian will think of her after he finds out about this. "Who are? Did you drug me?" She asked. " So you don't still remember what happened?" She still shook her head.
"You were drugged" he said flatly. She was about to ask by whom when it all started coming in the memories. Yesterday was supposed to be a day Damian will pop the big question but she realized she was being played all along by Serene, her best friend and Damian, her boyfriend. They wanted to destroy her but for what reason, she could not tell. That brings her to the question "who are you? And why did you help me?". " I am Nathaniel Cruz" he said. She connected the dots and realized he is Damian's uncle the one he hated so much. " Why did you help me?" She asked. " I did it because I didn't want my my useless nephew destroying you". He answered sincerely.
Both of them became quiet for the rest of the meal. After eating, she took a shower and Nathan and his men went to drop her off at her apartment. She had assurance of not being discovered there because her neighbourhood was one of the most expensive places in the country. It was called the Queenz Lounge. She went inside and saw Nathan leave with his men before she went inside. Though what was planned by Damian and Serene did not work as planned, she still felt angry with Nathan for taking advantage of her vulnerability. The tears she had been holding back began to fall freely. She was thankful Justine, her elder sister was not home or she would have escalated the issue. She went to her bedroom and cried herself to sleep.
