Claudia POV
"Good morning, babe. How are you holding on so far?"
Just as Ray said, Anok came to the penthouse not long after he left. She wore a light pink dress yesterday, and today she wore a sunny yellow one instead.
That kind of color would've been too much for the autumn season. But with her beauty and confidence, it actually fit her perfectly.
She was carrying a paper bag from a popular dessert spot downtown that I passed through whenever I drove Aurora to her kindergarten.
"Morning, Anok. Uhm… I'm doing better," I replied.
"How about your shoulder? Still hurting?" she continued asking while putting her Hermes bag down and handing the dessert to my hand. "Here's some dessert and snacks for you. The pain will get better if you eat some sweets."
"T-thank you…"
Honestly, going from Jane Jiang who always looked at me as if she wanted to murder me and spat on my body, to Anok felt overwhelming to me.
