Claudia POV
Ray came out of his bedroom fully dressed and ready to go to the office. He was holding a tie as our eyes met.
There was a long awkwardness between us before he raised his chin slightly and handed me this tie. "Do your duty, Claudia."
My body stiffened and my gaze shifted between the tie and him consecutively.
"W-what do you mean?" I asked.
"You need to fulfill part of your pet contract. Fix my tie every day, just as we agreed on before."
Ah, I had actually forgotten about that agreement.
Well, calling it an agreement was false, because I never agreed to it. It was just Ray who insisted on me doing what I usually did to Miles every morning.
I didn't understand why he wanted to punish me that way, because I felt that wasn't a big deal to begin with… had he not kissed me while I was fixing his tie.
This crazy man was just too unpredictable for me, but I had to fulfill my side of the contract. So I got up and took the tie from his hand.
