Rosalind Lowell had arrived on set early and was waiting with her makeup already done.
It was a historical drama, after all, and the makeup and styling took a long time. By the time all the other actors had their makeup finished and the cinematographer had the lighting set, this Winnie Lowell still hadn't shown up.
Just then, a commotion broke out. Rosalind Lowell looked toward the source of the noise and could vaguely make out a man surrounded by a crowd of people.
She'd heard the director mention he was a talented and popular newcomer who had recently shot to fame, getting to where he was today purely through his own hard work. The reason he arrived after all the other actors had their makeup done was that he had his own makeup artist and had come already dressed in costume as per the production's requirements.
With his assistant's help, the man was finally "liberated" from the crowd.
