Seeing Mrs. Cook on the verge of tears, Rosalind Lowell teased, "Looks like you've gotten something in your eye, Mrs. Cook. This task should be for Hope, but he doesn't know how yet, so let me handle it for now."
She took Mrs. Cook's hand. "Shall I blow on it for you, Mrs. Cook?"
Mrs. Cook let out a laugh. "Hurry and come in. I made almond cookies today, and they're absolutely delicious."
"If they're that delicious, I'm going to eat my fill."
Mrs. Cook looked at her as if she were her own child and patted her head. "Don't you worry, I made plenty. Eat as many as you like."
"I saw your runway show the other day..."
Mrs. Cook said, sitting beside her while nibbling on an almond cookie.
Rosalind was stunned and clapped a hand over her mouth. "What? No way! You watch runway shows, Mrs. Cook?"
Mrs. Cook smiled and nodded. "Of course I do. I'm a devoted fan."
