Rosalind Lowell was wheeled into the living room, where she saw Jessica Sutton and Don Lowell.
Jessica Sutton glanced at her and called out, "Alaric, thank you for remembering I love this kind of grape and preparing them just for me."
Alaric Davenport's expression didn't change. His gaze simply fell on Rosalind Lowell as he replied coolly, "We just happened to have some."
Rosalind Lowell was inwardly pleased. Seeing Jessica Sutton's face darken in an instant, the foul mood she'd been in all morning suddenly improved a little.
She wasn't going to back down anymore.
"Alaric," Rosalind called softly, "could you carry me to the sofa?"
Alaric Davenport stood up immediately, went to her side, lifted her up, and gently placed her on the sofa.
